I recently visited the La-Z-Boy furniture store in search of some comfortable furniture that would also look nice in my living room. When I entered the store I was greeted by one of the owners of the store. He was very helpful and friendly without being pushy. I tried everything in the store to see what would be the most comfortable. The salesman gave lots of information and suggestions. I learned from him that this is a family owned business and his wife and son were working in the store with him. With his assistance, I was able to find the perfect furniture for my needs. I surprised to learn that they have a lot of furniture in stock and my furniture could be delivered quickly. Less than a week later, I have my new furniture and I couldn’t be happier. Everything went very smoothly from start to finish. Even the men who delivered the furniture were friendly and helpful. They arrived early in the time window so I didn’t have to wait. I’m very happy that I was able to buy furniture from a small family owned business who sell furniture made here in the US. We are fortunate to have this business locally. Do not hesitate! I came to the La-Z-Boy store in South Portland, ME having never utilized their services previously. I was looking for a recliner type chair for my living room and a friend had a positive prior experience with this business.

I arrived and was greeted by a sales woman named Marissa. She was delightful in that she listened to what I was trying to accomplish in seating and how it would be incorporated into a challenging floor arrangement. She answered all my questions candidly and with ease. She asked the right questions to have a full understanding of my thought's. She was not forceful with a sales pitch, but seemed more intent upon solving my issues.

I later learned that Marissa was one of the owners children. She was thought in not mentioning that, but when I met her parents a few days later to close the sale, I then understood where she got her competence and understanding of all the stores various products.

I shopped at several furniture stores in the portland area and I can't tell you how disappointed in the quality of furniture and horrified by the service and treatment at all different levels in each and every store, EXCEPT LA-Z-Boy. The service was instantly noticeably better, the quality obviously better as soon as a sat on the furniture it was sho noticable!!! I had a very very pleasant shopping experience and instead of walking away with the one thing I was shopping for a left with 2 and am going back after the holidays to replace my living room furniture❤ I recommend La-Z-Boy and will to everyone in the future.
