I am absolutely disappointed in the Woodlake Crossing James Avery located on 6914 FM-78 Unit 101 San Antonio, TX 78244 team lead Shoshana and store manager Anna, who were discriminative against my friend who is African-American. My friend, family and I have been coming to the Woodlake Crossing James Avery located on 6914 FM-78 Unit 101 San Antonio, TX 78244 for 3 years, and have spent over a thousand dollars here just between me and my friend, so not even including our families. A few months ago I was told that I could trade in one of my necklaces for a certain amount of money to go towards a different necklace, because after I had the necklace for 2 years the necklace was bending like it was made of rubber and it was discontinued so I couldn't get it replaced. My friend who is African-American who BOUGHT me the necklace took it up to THIS James Avery to get the certain amount of money put towards a different necklace she had already picked out for me. Well to both of our surprises the team lead Shoshana and store manager Anna explained to my friend who is African-American that since the necklace wasn't on her account and she did not have proof of purchase that she could not trade it in to go towards a different necklace and that they could not do anything to help her. Once I was told this I immediately called the store since I know what I was told and my friend was there when we were told this. I happened to get to speak to Shoshana, who helped my friend and she said that I would be able to get 50% of the necklace which is $45 to go towards a different necklace. She didn't verify the necklace was on my account, or that I had proof of purchase of the necklace both were never mentioned to me, but made sure to tell my friend both of those things and to say she couldn't help her. I don't know why this simple transaction was turned into an issue just because the person who brought the necklace up to the store first is African-American but it was obviously about her race. This is unacceptable and disgusting that James Avery hires employees who would racially profile a person of color for trying to replace a discontinued necklace that they purchased 2 years ago that is bending like rubber because it was cheaply made, when they were told they would be allowed to and that their caucasian friend who didn't even purchase the necklace had to call to get the situation resolved. This transaction should have been handled at the store like a normal transaction not based on the color of someone's skin. My friend should have not been disrespected and made to feel like a criminal over a raggedy piece of jewelry that can be proven to be a...
Read moreI have never had problems with James Avery. And I shop at multiple stores a lot. Due to COVID, they only offer curbside pickup. You have to order online and then go to the store and pick up. Nowhere during these order process where there any policies regarding the pickup. After the purchase was made I received an email stating the order had to be in the name of the person picking it up. I called the store and asked if I needed to cancel the order and start Over. I was told no just to text a copy of my driver license to the person picking up the order. All the while being rushed through the conversation and made to feel like I was a bother. When my brother picked up the order, it was nothing but grief. Arguing over the driver license not being in his possession. They finally give him the order. He gets home and discovers he has not received the whole order. He calls the store and they tell him they are closing but come back tomorrow and they will give him the items he was shorted. The next day he goes back to the store to pick it up. He is told the order has already been picked up. He explains what has happened and no one knows what he is talking about. They finally decide to give him the items that are missing. I understand things are a little chaotic right now but come on. If it wasn’t something my Mother really wanted I would have given it all back. I won’t order this way again. And if will be a long time before I shop at James Avery in a store or online. Ruined a Texas Tradition for me. Store location-Woodlake Crossing in...
Read moreThis store is about 2 miles from home. My boyfriend and I have been coming in to this store & bought things. During the first two visits, My boyfriend and I noticed that the staffs were all unapproachable. I even made a comment, "well maybe they think we're not buying anything.." long story short the first two visits I wasn't happy.. And then my grandmother asked me to take her here so she can buy a set(necklace, pendant, ring, and earrings) I took this store and I even remember telling her that "the staff weren't too friendly but they sell nice stuff" BUT to my surprise, We were warmly greeted by this Man who is not only helpful but has a friendly demeanor, my grandma's experience was fantastic it was special for her because its the first time she bought JA Jewerly.. two weeks later, I sent my boyfriend to this same store to get both of our necklace chain fix, we've gotten them fix a chain before and it usually around $20 each.. well to my surprise my boyfriend came home telling me "Hey they fix both necklace for free and I got it back within minutes!" Apparently the same helpful and friendly guy who made my grandma's day also made me and my boyfriend's day.. we didn't get his name but I sure remember his face. His excellent customer service doesn't go unnoticed. We we're keep...
