I have visited this store for over five weeks looking for these items during each visit. I was told the items are not in stock. They do not know when the items will be in stock again or if they will ever be in stock again I spoke to two managers several employees over the five weeks Each of them, indicating the same thing some of them telling me that the item has never been in stock according to the DTPA or the deceptive trade practices act stores are required to sell the item that they advertise or at least have it in stock. This store does not, and they are claiming that they do not have to abide by that law that they can Show items for sale that they literally have not had in stock for over a month and most stores this would be considered an item that was no longer in stock or discontinued. However, here the manager has informed me that that is not the case so they continue to keep the items on display in effort to have customers return to the store looking for an item that they do not intend to stock because according to them, they do not decide what items are shipped to the store. They will not know what items are shipped to the store until the truck actually arrives, but they maintain that the item is for sale. It’s just not available. It seems like an effort just So at this point having come look in the store for over five weeks continuously to be told that they are not selling the item they will not sell the floor item, even though it is not marked as a display. I’m going to file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General’s office and the Better Business Bureau despite what they do or do not have to do the least they could do is if they don’t have the item in stock, they could pull it off their shelf until they actually do instead of having customers repeatedly returned to the store to see if it’s available, which seems like the entire premise of keeping it up on the shelf when they know it’s not going to...
Read moreOllie's is my favorite store, but I was told by Victoria that I couldn't shop there because I had a bicycle.
Car is in the shop, so I decided on my day off to ride 4.4 mi to Ollie's. That's right, nowhere else, just Ollie's. I love Ollie's.
On the way I blew the inner tube on my rear tire and had to walk a mile with a flat tire to the nearby Walmart to buy a new tube. I've never replaced an inner tube before so this was an adventure. It took me almost an hour of messing with the tire, the chain, the derailleur... It was a learning experience for sure. The gentlemen at the Walmart tire center were more than helpful, I truly owe them the ability to have ridden my bike home because I couldn't figure out how to readjust the derailleur.
So all that finally over, I finally am able to finish my ride to Ollie's, maybe a mile or so down the road from Walmart, maybe a bit less. I ride up to Ollie's and all my misadventures seem to be behind me as I open the door and walk my bike in (I don't have a lock and a chain for it yet) just to be told by Victoria that "We don't allow bikes in here." So I said "Okay, I rode four and a half miles to get here. Can I leave it up here with you? I don't have a lock and chain for it to leave it outside."
She said no and made me leave the store. So after over five miles of riding my bike in the sun, over an hour of walking my flat tired bike to Walmart and messing with the tube and installing the tire over it by hand (this is not easy), messing with tools to readjust the derailleur... And I can't even enter the store that was the entire purpose for this outing?
So in total I rode almost ten miles, just to be turned away.
All for...
Read moreWhere is this place been all my life! All in all I was happy with the experience I did run into one issue I was walking by the tiki torches and noticed that a handful of torches were 24.99 just mislabeled after bringing it to the attention of a employee she went over there and took care of it right away she didn't hesitate to fix the problem I was happy to see her response as sometimes employees walk away from issues like that. This type of store is definitely something that every community needs bringing an arrangement of name brand items down to bargain prices I'm happy with the type of selection and I was lucky to have stopped in with a family member who had just happened to mention the store. If I knew where I was going I would have had a long list of items that I needed to look for LOL. This place is definitely one of a kind my favorite part is this store has witty and funny signs all over it I found it so enjoyable that I even took photos of a few of them again if you haven't been here I can't describe it. Best way I guess is thinking of a home Depot or Lowe's in making a Ross version of it lol definitely worth stopping in clothing carpets mattresses as seen on TV HomeGoods impulse buy items seasonal they even have a book section and let's not forget outdoor section and pets. Oh yeah and they have general grocery items. No fresh foods but that is fine they have a lot more to offer and everything is at bargain discount prices! Definitely a place I don't mind walking around and...
