Fresh Mart — Local services in Scotch Plains

I recently visited and asked the employee behind the counter for a CBD product that contained no THC. He handed me a Kik pen and said it was THC free. I got home and read that it contains Delta 8 THC. I tried to return it and explained I was given the wrong product. First I was told this type of THC is “okay”. Then was told to come back tomorrow so the manager could help. I went back the next day and was told to return the next morning, because this product is “non-refundable”, which I am not doing. This is an easy fix and if they were going to do it, it would have been done. At this point, they can keep the $28 and the pen. I’m aware losing me as a customer won’t break their bank, but acknowledging their error and making it right would not have broken their bank either. Truly bottom of the barrel business practices. While I find humor in the fact that there is still remanence of QuickChek in this store and I applaud Fresh Mart for how they have utilized the space and for the products they sell, I will not be returning to this establishment again. Posted on the door when you walk in is a sign that states face masks are required. This is the same that we find in every establishment now. An employee was not wearing a mask and when I brought it up to another employee I was met with excuses. "She was eating. She was drinking." Pull your mask down to eat or drink. There are plenty of QuickChek straws still around you could use to drink from without pulling your mask OFF. Go into the office and eat or drink if you don't want to wear a mask. The prices are way too high compare to the quick check that was here before this store. Employees were talking in their language when i was in the store and did not answer my questions. I bought 2 liter soda a couple weeks ago, the price was reasonable but I went a couple days ago, the price was way too high. I could get it for a cheaper price somewhere else. Most of the items in the store are also very expensive, definitely could find the items for a cheaper price in near by stores.
