I'd give this place a negative star if possible. #1 horrible service. #2 blames all the faults wrong with the car against someone else. Example, nail getting stuck in a tire and I take it to someone else to fix it and then later it gets a piece of metal in it, they blame it on the previous person for not fixing the tire correctly when that wasn't even the issue 🙄. Example #2 went to get a simple oil change, got charged $95.18. They had asked if I had ever gotten my oil changed to which I said yes, I do regularly. I just don't ever go there, I prefer somewhere else solely because #1 I know the people personally #2 I've been going to them for years #3 they've NEVER done me wrong and if they messed something up they fixed it and didn't charge me. These folks said my break plug was stripped and my oil has never been changed and that they had to change the break plug with something else and said it was the previous person's fault for not changing my oil correctly and stripping my brake plug. That I had oil leaking and that my oil light was on. Hmmm the light was NOT on when I pulled into that parking lot. My oil was most definitely NOT leaking because if it had, I'd have oil in the driveway and there's not any. I will NEVER come back to this place again. They will rip you off and do you wrong time and time again. What a joke of a tire...

Extremely disappointing experience. I had a 3:00 PM appointment at Mavis Tires & Brakes in Scottsboro for a free tire balance and alignment check. From the moment I walked in, the man at the front—who said his name was Johnny—was rude, dismissive, and clearly not interested in helping.

He stepped outside, looked at only two tires while my car sat in the parking lot, and immediately claimed I needed four new ones. First, he said the tread was 5/32, then changed it to 4/32. This directly contradicted a dealership service I had just three days earlier, where I was told my tires were in good shape.

When I declined his pushy sales pitch, he turned and walked away. He never checked the alignment, never balanced the tires, and never moved the car into the garage. It was a blatant attempt to upsell me instead of honoring the service I scheduled. I’m not sure if he gave me his real name. “Johnny” was a heavier set man who appeared to be in his late 40s early 50s.

I can’t say enough good things about the outstanding service I received at the Scottsboro location. I had an issue with a damaged tire that I originally purchased from another location. Unfortunately, when I returned to that original store, I was denied proper service despite having a valid receipt.

Frustrated, I reached out to the Scottsboro store—and I’m so glad I did. The manager was absolutely outstanding. They listened, understood the situation, and told me they would honor the contract as long as I had the receipt. No runaround, no excuses—just real customer service.

I brought the tire in, and true to their word, they replaced it without hassle. The professionalism, honesty, and respect I was shown here will absolutely keep me coming back. This location has earned my business going forward, and I’ll make sure my friends and family come here too.
