I love Home Depot but this was mostly a terrible experience. The ladies at the service counter were the actual best people and after going to the rest of the store, I now understand why everyone was going to the service counter. I have never witnessed so many employees standing around refusing to help people. I needed a simple tool that was locked behind a cage. I had no questions about it, I knew what I wanted. At other Home Depots the employees standing around the self checkout area usually help in this matter, NOT HERE! I asked the lady standing there, doing nothing but looking around, if she could get a tool for me. She says "No, 'some guy' is here and he can do it". I was shocked by this. No one had ever said "No, I can't/don't want to help you at Home Depot. So I go ask 'guy' (sorry I cannot remember his name) and he was with another customer but the customer said thanks and walked away, so I ask for the tool I need and he chases down the guy that walked away and tells him if he buys some combo set that he'll knock $50 off the price just to get this dude to buy some set. The customer was saying no to the employee until he offered $50 off. The customer agrees and finally he's done. I am waiting at the tool I need and instead of 'guy' coming to unlock the cage to take my tool to the register he stops and asks a group of guys if they need help. I'm a woman and I'm pretty accustomed to being ignored and talked down to by men when it comes to tools, and now that I'm pregnant its even worse, but this was absolutely ridiculous. After he's done with the group of men and has no other ways to avoid me, he finally comes and unlocks the cage and is rude to me the entire time. Acting like I was such an inconvenience to help but was just happy to help other men. At the end he stuck the tool in my buggy and let me walk around with it until I guess he thought he better take it to the register? I'm not sure what happened there but I know one thing. I will NEVER step foot in this Home Depot again. Everything here was unacceptable accept the lovey ladies at customer service....
Read moreIn store, everyone was helpful. However their delivery people were incapable of making sure my new appliances ran properly, haven't even been able to wash a load of clothes because the washer is messed up. Took eight days to get it delivered. The first time I called them they said someone would contact me in a day or two, three days later I called back and they said there was no record I had ever contacted them to begin with. Absolutely unacceptable, and now no one can come service my washer for another seven days, and I had to spend thirty mins on the phone with the customer service people to get them to get me a service tech scheduled. And they can't give me the service techs number, or a time window when he will be here, only that he will be here wednesday, and the only other day available was another week away. PEOPLE HAVE TO WORK, WE CAN'T SIT AROUND ALL DAY PRAYING YOU DIDN'T FORGET US AGAIN. IF I PAY OVER $1,000 FOR A WASHER AND DRYER AND IT DOESN'T EVEN WASH A SINGLE LOAD, YOU SHOULD BE ALL OVER FIXING IT... Simply pathetic, and I hope I never have to deal with these people again after they fix it.
UPDATED:Another 14 days pass, the tech's came and told me what I knew, that it was a defective washer/install team, then said someone would contact me before the week was out. Nobody did, so I called Amana, they're off on the weekend, then called home depot, and they can only help me out when someone at Amana is there because even though I purchased a 3 year warranty with home depot the first year is through Amana so now I get to wait even more... As a full time college student and working full time this is really driving me crazy... Maybe I'll have an operational washer OVER A MONTH after I purchased it. I wouldn't suggest this store to...
Read moreWithin the past year, they have got a lot of business from me and my husband. We remodeled our home, and bought most of our material here. The lumber, sheetrock, etc was all great, HOWEVER, when it came down to our shower, stove, fridge, etc. HORRIBLE. It took them 4 time ordering our shower to get it in without it being cracked. Our stove came in a month later than expected, and they "lost" our fridge. They had to order it 3 times. It was 2-3 months later before we got our fridge. Since then, they have messed my payment up on the home depot card, telling me I didn't owe anything and then charging me over $200 because i "missed a payment." Maybe their employees should know how to read the computer before they tell me i don't owe anything. That was partially my fault, and i take partial blame. HOWEVER, I recently ordered THREE containers they didn't have in store. THREE small, plastic, IRIS containers. I ordered one on April 16th. It was supposed to be here today, but the tracking hasn't been updated. The other two were scheduled to be here tomorrow, now they have bumped the expected pick up date to May the 2nd. I am getting tired of the games they play with their customers. I'm getting tired of wasting my money on something that takes 2 months to get, and even then they may break it while unloading it. I made three payments on the shower, stove, and fridge without even having them. It is...
