Village Coffee Roastery — Restaurant in Scottsdale

We wanted to love this place. The location and service was great. The man outside serenading patrons with his folksy melodies additionally added to the ambiance. We ordered the village breakfast and lox bagel no onions. We were brought our order, the toast was burned black. Not just crispy but black. It is maddening how the cook and server thought the toast was passable. We did not ask for toast to be well done. We sent toast back. The bagel served with red onions on and in the bagel. Disappointing. The new order of toast came to our table and was just as black and burnt as the first order. The eggs look and tastes like powdered eggs. The coffee was excellent, and the friendliness of staff was top notch. The inside was nicely lit, rich brown tones and comfortable chairs to sit on, the baked goods nicely displayed in glass case. During our breakfast we assumed the owner(s) probably weren’t on site as the burned toast TWICE was over the top. We took a picture of the second order of toast. There’s so many other establishments to frequent that checks all the boxes. If we had to choose between mediocre to poor food over great customer service we would prefer good service, but why should we only get one?...

My goodness! This text field doesn't not have enough space for me to express how wonderful this place is! From the decor to the staff. I have been coming to the Village coffee roasters for a little over 7 years and all I can say is great things about this great place! Lisa, the owner, is just amazing!! (Everybody there is so cool and courteous!) but She has the talent to know her clientele by the name and items you normally get, to the point that sometimes if the line is long, she sees you and starts working on your coffee so when you get to pay you are ready! Try that anywhere else!! I try many other places around The Valley when I'm running errands or even near by and nothing compares with Village Coffee Roasters!! I travel to México, Central America, Caribbean and Brasil and I can tell you; the roasting here is on point! If you haven't try Village Coffee Roasters, you must!! : )

PD.!! Did I mention their breakfast items!! OMG!! If you are really hungry, try the Rooster Breakfast burrito (coffee braised brisket!!)

Ms. Lisa made my day this morning by making my coffee lovingly with the foam flower in addition to her wonderful pastries which are adorable and I am a big fan of the spinach feta croissant, and cinnamon rolls. This is a Blessed neighborhood place!

Yesterday was Mother’s Day Holiday and Village Coffee regular Customer, The Honey Foundation extended its generosity to the guests of the coffee shop offering free coffee and gorgeous flowers to all Moms coming in all day long🌺❤️😇🌈💐 It was an amazing experience for everybody! God Bless the Generous and Loving people remaining same even during the challenging times🌹
