World Market — Local services in Scottsdale

While visiting Arizona from NY I became excited when I drove past a World Market all alone by itself & not inside of a Bed Bath & Beyond. Because back home none of the employees seem to be familiar w/the grocery inventory. So when I saw this location I just had to stop in. & the only thing on my list was Tabañero hot sauce. I headed straight to the spicy section. Of course I got distracted by the wine 🍷 section. I didn't even expect to see adult beverages. Yummy choices I must say. But I got back in track quick 😜 & not only did I find my favorite hot sauce, but It was on sale. Yay!! So I grabbed about 6 bottles. There was also huge selection of candies & snacks marked down as well. This stop made my day. Because I've never walked into a World Market & found the 1 thing I'm always on the hunt for... Tabañero Hot Sauce!! & this store had good...

This store seems to have issues with minorities (as other reviewers have pointed out elsewhere). My wife works at a restaurant in the area. She arrived for work early yesterday and decided to stop in to kill time. As she reached the clearance section, a tall, thin woman began following her around the store. She never asked if my wife needed help, just took it upon herself to follow her around. Obviously, this made my wife incredibly uncomfortable. I've already contacted corporate about the situation and hope that the manager will do the right thing and contact me back.

This shouldn't be happening in 2021, but I'm also not very surprised that it did. I will never do business with this...

Cost Plus is always great. I love the variety of foods and candies from around the world who can buy here that you can't find anywhere else. They always have an amazing selection during the holiday season and for other holidays throughout the year as well. The employees are always helpful and the lines aren't usually too bad. My only complaint is that they took away assorted box of maple candy along with the big Maple leaf and the Santa during Christmas. Those were my favorite candies of all time and it's hard to find them anywhere else, especially now that cost plus does...
