Employees are extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I will never come back and that makes me really sad.
I was a frequent customer, purchasing at this store at least every other month. Today I went and tried on a lot of clothes in the dressing room. Without saying a word, someone starts slamming on the door repeatedly, scaring me so bad I was too afraid to say anything at first, and then kept responding “someone’s in here” without hearing anything back. I finally open it, & no one’s there.
I go to leave the dressing room and pay for the items I want, and two cops, yes, not mall security, actual cops, greet me. They were extremely nice and respectful, unlike the staff. Apparently the employees call the COPS DAILY for thefts, and that the employees said I spent too much time in the dressing room.
If I’m spending $98 dollars on one pair of sweatpants, I’m going to make sure I really want them. They checked the room, obviously no tags were ripped and they let me go.
There was, I’m not kidding, at least 5 employees, all standing huddled together, clearly talking about me and scattered when I made eye contact. None of them were working, but hanging out. I do not understand why if there was concern, no one politely knocked to ask if I was ok, or said there was a time limit? I was in and out of the dressing room, I was not in there the entire time.
I also don’t understand why the cops are called daily, and the managers aren’t enforcing any dressing room regulations instead? If there are 5 kids/employees standing around, why not have someone man the dressing rooms and say there’s a time and clothes limit?
I was about to buy three Nike and Free People apparel, but ended up leaving the store with nothing because of how uncomfortable and out of line the experience was. I’m so sad because I’m an extremely active person who loves this store and I no longer feel safe or welcome there.
I wish I remembered the officers names though, they were so nice and also seemed extremely tired of the amount of calls they seem to get to the store.
Whoever is running this store, please train your employees and find policies that work, instead of whatever...
Read moreThis is disgusting and abuse of power. A manager/supervisor named Carol has been harassing every employee under her. I have witnessed it she speaks to them horrible. She is not customer friendly at all. She does not belong with young peers let alone working in a public place. For some reason Dicks keeps her employed even knowing how she treats the young kids under her. Who are only there to make money and work in the community. No young adult should have to go to work and endure that kind of abuse from someone superior to them. And shame on Dicks for there lack of support and there disrespect to these kids. I have read numerous reports on Carol and yet she is still employed at Dicks. I will continue to advocate fie these kids. Because Dicks clearly does not back there employees when there's abuse of power happening and they have been told about this and nothing is done. She should lose her job. She is unprofessional and very rude I will not shop here anymore and I will use my voice to tell the community what is happening inside this place. If something is not done soon with this employee there will not be any employees for there busiest season. No one deserves to be treated badly while there trying to make a living and better themselves. She should be fired immedialtely!!!!!! Carol must go!!!!!!! Abuse of power will not be tolerated in the public so why is a big corporation allowing this to happen. Adult bullying IS NOT OKAY!!!! After numerous complaints Dicks STILL chooses to keep this employee. I really hope she is gone and I can continue to shop at Dicks. These kids deserve to work in a better environment. Ask the employees there how there treated by this woman. They will all tell you the same thing. I have pulled numerous kids aside when I was shopping and witnessed her at her worst. I live in as soon as I spoke about what happened everybody knew exactly who I was talking about. Somebody even mentioned to me the way she treats the employees and I’ve noticed that too. She hover over them when they’re trying to do their job she corrects them right in front of customers she’ll correct a customer and make them feel like a thief right in front of everybody, which is what she did to me yet again She should worry about working up in the security department not the customer service department as she has zero customer service skills zero I don’t know what she did wrong in her life that caused her to have this great need of paranoia and distrust in human beings, but she should really stop bringing that to work because it’s very Disrespectful to embarrass a customer.
