I debated going here after reading the reviews. Whoever is leaving responses to the reviews is completely unprofessional and does not know how to manage reviews or accept criticism very well.
I read many reviews before even going. I always give the benefit of the doubt to any business because everyone is entitled to their own opinion and to voice that opinion in the form of a review here.
Well, Google asked me about parking first. Street parking onlyโat least that was all that was available. It was crowded.
Staff: Friendly, so A+ there.
Product: I didn't like the dark gray to black-colored ice cream. It didn't taste as good as a typicalโyes, typicalโblack ice cream that is traditionally colored with charcoal and flavored with almond or other flavors. It was bitter and reminiscent of something loaded with food coloring.
Many responses to reviews about the flavor mention black cocoa being used to get the dark color. Are any food dyes being used?
What would be fantastic and really benefit your business is if you made the composition of the black ice cream known to everyone. Your business would likely benefit from the creation of an informative video on your in-house process showing how you make the black ice cream.
People, for some reason, aren't liking the taste. You need to fix that....

We've been to the Ritz to see shows, but haven't gone to Black Cow yet. We looked at the menu and then I asked what flavor the vegan soft serve was. The lady said they had trouble with their supplier so they do not currently have vegan soft serve. And that was that. So we left as the two employees laughed about it nonstop. Not sure what was so funny about it. But you would think customers would be acknowledged with.. "hi, is this your first time here?" .. or something similar. And maybe offer a time frame of when they may have their shipment to make the vegan soft serve. Just some pleasantries and not just nonstop laughing about losing customers. We were the only ones in the place. They don't seem very busy. The atmosphere seemed nice, but that's all that we know...
