Read moreA reservation is like a joke in this place. Here's the story. I was on the waiting list for a hair cut on Sunday. Yuka reached out and said someone cancelled an appointment and asked me whether I'd like to take it. I said yes, and I got the confirmation of the reservation. Few hours later, Yuka reached out again and said that the customer who had cancelled the appointment wanted to take it back, and basically TOLD me that the reservation was no longer valid. It was a WOW moment for me and I asked how they could run business this way. The answer I got was basically that customer was a long-time customer. So what Yuka was saying was that "a reservation at this place is a best-effort thing - if there is a long-time customer wants that same time spot, you will be kicked out." Isn't that a joke?
Berry Berry owners, if you see this, you should seriously re-think about how to treat all customers equally and how to respect the most basic rules in the business world. If you REALLY mean that old customers have the privedge to override an existing reservation, write it down and make it your own rule. It may still sound ridiculous, but new customers would reset their expectations when they book an appointment.
