Indian Summer — Local services in Seattle

I have nothing but good things to say about Adria and their beautiful gem of a vintage shop. It is a shining light in Seattle and in Capitol Hill, especially when all of the unique and special businesses are closing/being pushed out/priced out, Indian Summer, gratefully remains on the hill.

Once you step into the shop you immediately have the feeling of being transformed into an intentionally and carefully curated vintage paradise. Adria is so kind and and always greets customers with a smile.

The shop windows are my absolute favorite! Adria is a true artist and it shows because the windows are more like art installations! If you haven’t yet, you need to check them out! They never disappoint!

Whenever I have friends visiting, a trip to Indian Summer Vintage is on the list of must see Seattle sites!

Simply walked past this place with my dog to inquire about hours. The door was open and there were employees or owners smoking at the door. My dog came over (not inside, just to the door to greet them) and everything seemed fine until one of them very rudely said I should leave. I was confused and left. Came back to apologize if had made some kind of mistake but was told by a employee “well I was just bit by a dog and we want to social distance” again, I apologized but received no response. Social distancing is completely necessary and understandable but I was wearing a mask and my dog was being polite so this was outright rude. I’ve been going to Indian Summer for years, and it is by far my favorite vintage shop in Seattle. From the moment I went there, I felt home. This is a place that is more than a shop, it’s a beacon of light for community. Everyone that works there is exceptionally knowledgeable in fashion and most all topics of conversation! The store is impeccably curated, making it effortless to look at everything. There’s a vast range of sizes, which is refreshing since it’s rarer to find in many vintage shops!
