I booked this hotel months ago for our two days trip with my husband and daughter hoping to have a wonderful short stay. Unfortunately, our trip became a nightmare and we are still dealing with the stress and inconveniences of the incident that happened with our car that was parked in their paid parking lot that was vandalized. The passenger window was smashed and the cover of the ignition key was broken and wires were pulled out as the thief attempted to steal the vehicle. I got the phone call from one of their male staff while we are heading back to the hotel after a dinner from a restaurant close by notifying us about a break in in their parkade and our car was the only one damaged. When I asked about their policy about this kind of incident, all they say is they can not answer or be held responsible about it as we park at our own risk. So what is the point of paying US$37 if our vehicle is not secured? I know we are responsible if we did not lock our car and someone stole our belongings but when your vehicle was vandalized and damaged in their premises, at least they should be held accountable for it! I felt violated and discriminated! The poor treatment we received is appalling from the moment we stepped in our reserved room until we left is full of stress and disappointment. I booked for a room that can accommodate three adults but my daughter’s bed was not made so we have to call the desk about it. An attendant knocked at our door and just handed over the beddings to my daughter so she have to do it herself! So unprofessional of them to do that but we let it slide and just kept quiet since we are so exhausted from our long drive from Victoria and wanted to take a quick nap before heading to dinner. Imagine the amount of stress and lack of sleep from worrying of the damages and that big fear thinking our vehicle’s window is wide open in their garage and no offer of any help from the manager on duty who is just standing there. A kind police officer arrived past midnight to investigate and assess the damages and advised us of the next step what to do. Luckily, the ignition was not damaged and we are still able to drive the car even if the window is broken. Our second day itinerary of our trip was ruined, wasted a lot of time and money because of this incident as we have to spend hours waiting for a police to arrive and cleaned the vehicle after the investigation. We are grateful with the night staff Albert who cleaned and tape the window as temporary fix, the following day staffs especially Alesha for their support and a couple of housekeepers in the morning who helped us clean all the broken glasses. We stopped by the nearest Home depot and bought a better plastic cover and taped it to the window so we can drive home to Victoria which is the most uncomfortable 3 hours drive from Seattle to Port Angeles to...
Read moreBeware of what rooms you book and what you end up receiving. What you see on their website may not be what you're given if you're given a handicap accessible room. I purposefully booked the executive suite two queen room based off their website description and pictures. When checking in at 9 pm, I wasn't told I was being given a handicap accessible room which completely changes the layout. Rather than a separate living area with couch, the couch is directly in front of the two queen beds. You cannot sit on the couch and view the TV. There is a barely any walking room. I have two teenage boys and we needed space which is why I reserved what I did. I could have booked the room that cost less if I knew I was going to be given what I was given. It's MUCH more cramped than what is seen and advertised. I woke up after the first morning and pulled the bedding up only to realize I slept with a blanket that had hard crusted red gunk stuck to it and stains. I spoke with the front desk and they said they would get housekeeping to change the bedding and also would call me after they could figure out if they could change me to a room I actually wanted and booked. They never called. I had to request that bedding be changed again and we stayed in the original room given because they couldn't move us. The front desk specifically said they are supposed to ask if a handicap accessible room is okay when checking in which never happened. Maybe that's because the guy checking us in said "he was running off 5 hours of sleep and had to work a double shift that day." There were black marks on the ceiling where the air vent is located making me wonder how often they are changing out their air filters if ever and what the air quality is in the room. I would have booked a different hotel closer to the stadiums if I knew I wouldn't have been given what was advertised in the photos and descriptions. Breakfast was fine but not particularly warm and they do let anyone off the streets walk in and partake in the buffet. That is at least what I witnessed the second morning I was there. We also got a parking violation on our vehicle the next morning even though we properly checked out vehicle in with the front desk and watched the gentleman write down my license plate number. For almost 850 dollars for a two night stay, I would expect better than a 2 star stay but that's what this place provides. I do...
Read moreWe came to Seattle for the first time and stayed at the hotel for four days, so we were glad that we got to stay on the executive floor due to my gold elite status. We got two complimentary bottles of drinking water in the room everyday, and there was more water, also complimentary, in the mini fridge by the elevators. Breakfast was complimentary, and it was served on our floor as well. The food was good, but what the hotel could improve on is the variety of food served, probably vary the menus a little bit everyday. If you stay longer than two days, then breakfast would be boring and predictable. My husband has a bad back so the firm bed was a big plus, but not the sofa bed though. We tested it, found it to be uncomfortable, and decided to have our daughter sleep on the sofa instead. Housekeeping was great, and we loved to see a tidy room after our day out. Just remember to tip your housekeeper, because they all do a great job. Also it rains a lot in Seattle, so it was great that the hotel had umbrellas to lend us. The location is not at all bad; we were able to get to many places on foot, but when we got really tired from walking, we would use Uber. If you feel adventurous, you can try taking the bus, monorail, or train. We took bus number 8 to get to Space Needle, which is within walking distance from the hotel. The bus driver refused to accept payment, so we rode for free. She even let us off very close to the attraction! The fare is $2.75 for adults and $1.50 for youth. Now the only complaint we have about the room is the heating and cooling system. When we set the temperature to warm, it still blew cold air, so we turned it off completely, but the room would become cold. We were so busy that we did not have time or forget to report the problem. Effective January 1st., the swimming pool and spa are closed permanently. We arrived on January 3rd., so we did not have the opportunity to use the amenities. I wish they would consider reopening them. We asked for a late checkout because we had things to do before we left for the airport. When we got back we found out that the key cards had been deactivated, so we had to go back to the lobby to get one key reactivated. We lost some valuable time because of this, since we still had our belongings in the room. Other than that, our experience here...
