I must commend the the King County Sheriff's Office Court Protection Unit (CPU) at this US Courthouse, especially one officer that was present in an attendant role.
Not only was he kind to myself but he was kind to everyone, listening to a real gambit of attendees, assisting those with their electric bikes in addition to performing tasks while directing everyone preemptively while keeping eyes of the surrounds simultaneously.
He was as genuine a public servant as an old friend. Comes with experience, I will tell you and also comes with his heritage, such authenticity and genuine care, kindness and support speaks to a confidence that I recognize quite well in myself...for others.
I spoke to him after he assisted me with directions and he made a personalized choice to actively listen to my relevant concerns like very, very few. This quality is not only the aspiration of the Sheriff's Office but a quality found in himself first and foremost...that takes faith, the head and heart to balance what these people need and that's to feel a show of force.
I conclude that to him the Court and the Sheriff's Office exists to participate in integrity... This was the humane and honor and caregiver I've been looking for and if everyone acted as he does there would be no Courts at all...ever.
Thee City's owners are the people and the Court is theirs and I want to commend this officer for helping me more than he will ever understand.
Thank You,...
Read moreThis place is a joke, a few years ago before I squared up I had a case being handled by Darren Thompson for the county. He headed up the RBI (Repeat Burglary Initiative) at the time exclusively. I've committed a lot felonies, but I've never in my life committed a Residential Burglary and this man and the SPD had grossly overcharged several misdemeanor trespassing charges, so they could pretend to do their job. When I refused to take a plea deal, he threatened me with charging several other crimes that he said were evidenced in the police report. Which is dishonest and unethical, you don't make charging decisions based on whether someone wants to exercise their rights. Also, most of the additional charges would've been construed as being a part of the same criminal conduct I was already being charged with. I'm guessing he either knew that or learned that because he filled no additional charges. He's still working for the County and still a waste of money. Instead of actually addressing the crimes he's supposed to he'll just overcharge poor people who can't afford actual lawyers. I squared up and became a productive member of society, don't you think it's about time you did too...
Read moreHonestly, considering other states and other clerks office...I've been impressed overall. Their online document store is very helpful, their customer service is super helpful, knowledgeable and kind (which I bet is difficult at times with such a confusing process). My only frustrations have been with the online filing tech and the actual court process. Per Tech, the request for documents portal should not be different than the efiling portal... it should all be one. The efiling portal leaves A LOT to be desired, could REALLY use an update. Per courts, not accepting my Oath because I used an initial instead of my name on the doc and then again not accepting my oath (and not telling me) because the doc had less than a 3 in margin is absolute crazy making...
I give it a 4 overall because the 4 people I've worked with at the clerks office have been nothing but stellar and helpful and I am very grateful for their patience...
