I found this place on Google leaving the Passport Agency. Im part Irish so I was thinking how cool itd be to eat at a pub. I get there and I haven't been before so I walk in and sit in the first booth to order an iced water and a sandwich. The bartender was looking at me kinda strange but I didn't care much. He come over and I go to ask for a water when cuts me off to ask for an ID card. It had a hole cut in it from the dmv. He's goes to yelling at me to leave , get out , I wont help you etc... the entire time he yelling im trying to tell him I had 5 more forms of identification including Passport because of where I had been. He finally stops yelling long enough to check my Passport, im thinking this is so dramatic to get water and sandwich. He was very loud and it had all the other customers looking at me and made it really uncomfortable for me. He gets done quizing me on verification questions on my Passport and takes my order. As I sit there 4 people came in and they were never asked for identification just handed them beer. Being really nice to these people. I get the pulled pork sandwich and it tasted like they took some manwich sloppy Joe sauce and boiled the meat in it. Even has the little green pepper squares in it , it was a terrible sandwich . The French fries were those frozen krinkly cut kind which would have been fine if they weren't over cooked and hard . Overall the food really disappointed me. It comes time to pay and I tell him I noticed he gave the other customers a little more respect than he did me . He rudely said" im sorry man but you just gotta understand we are next to a HOMELESS SHELTER " . I haven't decided what was worse he thought I was homeless or that they were literally next to homeless shelter . Which i did see lots of homeless and homeless people stool in the general area. I ended paying for my meal with the platinum buisness card just to reiderate that i wasnt a homless drug addict from the shelter next door that uses their side walk as toilet .I had just bought clothes that day from Walmart blues jeans and hoodie . I look like your typical working class American. It should not matter if you look like a regular person instead of fashion designer. I usually give overly generous tips at restaurants but this was the first I didn't leave a tip. He definitely missed out on a big tip instead he opted for the bad reviews. Great place if you want to be treated like your a...
Read moreIf you're ever in Pioneer Square, avoid Collins Pub! The service was TERRIBLE! We stopped here after a Sounders match, and I'll not come back. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 0 is that the food was decent and they had an artisan cider on tap, though their food menu was VERY limited. It is a "grab a menu and sit anywhere you like" kind of place, and due to the nice weather, the outside patio was busy. We chose a table inside and sat... and waited. We ordered drinks, and watched as others came in, sat down, ordered drinks, and got their drinks... and we finally got our drinks (A glass of house wine and a pour of cider) about 10 minutes later. And that's because the manager was running drinks. About 10 minutes after that, and after making the comment that we'd probably have to go back to Federal Way to get food, our food order was taken. It took less time for us to get our food than our drinks! No one checked on us - I had to catch our server as she passed to order a glass of water. And then she passed our table 6 more times in 5 minutes before she brought the water... We were sitting right next to the bar! It wasn't until our server saw me writing this 2-star review that she decided to serve us. I am a notorious over-tipper because I feel those in the f&b industry are underpaid... but this doesn't deserve the 10% we left. Consider it a gift. For those considering a restaurant nearby, go next door to Shawn O'Donnell's - great service, great food, even...
Read moreWe chose to eat as Collin’s Pub randomly. It was on our way to our first NFL game ever. We walked in, grabbed our menus and seated ourselves as it was posted to do so. Truly thought, with how busy the place was, that everything was going to take forever. This was not the case at all. We were immediately approached by our server, Benny. He got our drinks ASAP and suggested a great beer on tap for my brother and my daughter. Shortly after, he was back taking our order. My brother and nephew ordered the burger, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, and my daughter ordered the falafel sandwich. Everything was great. And, it came out of the kitchen very quickly. Hot, flavorful and delicious! Benny was there in a hot second if he noticed drinks needing refilling and to make sure we were taken care of. He was an awesome server. And, we were approached by, who we believe to be the owner, twice. Very nice and friendly. Spoke with him about the game we were going to and racing for a short moment. Was nice to have him approach us and see that he cares about his place and his customers. Seemed like a good, down to earth guy. The atmosphere was great also. Felt very comfortable there. Sorry for the book. But I will return when I get...
