Lilt Salon — Local services in Seattle

I've been seeing Giulia for my hair for over 12 years now. I started seeing her when she was working at VAIN and I followed her to her new salon when she opened Lilt (during the middle of the pandemic! Brave move!)

Giulia is an amazingly talented artist, and while I don't ask for the most creative hairstyles myself, I often show up and see her finishing up with a previous client, or see her next client walk in who gets greeted by name (clearly regulars) and whose hair already looks amazing from the last time they came in.

Giulia is a great conversationalist on top of her hairstyling skills. Choose your topic, she's able to engage (and, sidenote: she's fluent in like 7 languages).

I also like that the layout of the salon allows you to see the other clients and stylists and there's just a very diverse amount of work being done that you can see through the mirror or when your chair gets rotated.

I recommend this place to everyone...

I used to think it was necessary to travel back east to get my hair cut by my longtime NYC stylist. Then after researching “precision” cutters, I found Giulia Steiger. She has just opened Lilt Salon in Wallingford and I was thrilled to visit her airy and spacious new place. (Plenty of parking, too.). Giulia is truly an artist who is highly skilled in helping clients to find the best style for the shape of their face, for their lifestyle and for their preferences on upkeep. She takes an active interest in her clients and is unfailingly upbeat and positive about life. I’m appalled with the haircut I had to leave the salon today. I will not share the stylists name because she was kind and apologetic, but I am extremely disappointed with my hair cut.

We agreed for the length to sit right above my shoulders, not 2 inches above the shoulders. This reference photo was thoroughly shown at the top of our appointment. My haircut is extremely blunt, and thick, and there is no dimension. It truly looks nothing at all like the photos I showed her.

I’m grateful that she told me I did not have to pay for the service, but now I’m left with a big blow to my confidence. It’s just not what I asked for and the cut itself is also poorly done. It feels too jagged to be blunt, but not dimensional enough...
