We hosted a second birthday party here and it was a hit with all the kids and parents. They had a trampoline, play mats, big bean bags, a balance beam, aerial silk swings, and tumbling blocks set up when we arrived, and the kids (aged 2-6) had a wonderful time running and jumping and swinging. Michael made sure we had everything we needed (e.g. there was a knife in the kitchen we could use to cut the cake since we forgot one). I love how open, airy, and fun the space is, and it was great that parents could see their little ones from anywhere in the room. Would highly recommend giving Michael a call to book a birthday party!

I heard of OmCulture through a dance instructor friends recommendation after attending my 1st ever ecstatic dance experience. I looked it up and not only do they hold multiple ecstatic dance events in an incredibly esthetic atmosphere, but they hold open drum circles I’ve attended that are incredible ! They also hold yoga & breathwork workshops I am really looking forward to attending. The people in this community are so welcoming and open. I definitely feel the joy and the love here!!!

Dance, dance, dance! It's such a wonderfully transformative experience, offering a beautiful space for people to express themselves in countless ways. The decorations and sound system create an inviting atmosphere that truly enhances the experience for everyone involved.

While OmCulture offers a variety of dances and events, my mainstays are the ecstatic dance sessions held on Tuesday and Thursday nights, as well as special occasions like NYE and BloomDance. The environment is truly unique: a spacious, responsive floor; soft lighting; comfortable rest areas; and an acoustically delightful sound system. Facilities are consistently clean, and cubbies are provided for personal belongings. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, as are your fellow dancers. Parking in the neighborhood can be a challenge during larger events, but the location is easily accessible via public transport and the Burke-Gilman trail.

The community at OmCulture thrives on respect, consent, and acceptance. Classes are led by knowledgeable and supportive facilitators, and alternative accommodations are readily available so that everyone, regardless of skill level, can participate. I've gained invaluable insights from the community class offerings and am eager to explore structured dance classes in the future.

Initially, I felt intimidated by the vastness of the space and the unfamiliarity of dance culture. Over time, OmCulture quickly became a second home where I discovered a supportive community. I highly recommend the experience to anyone seeking connection, growth, and joy through movement.

While I can't speak to the multitude of other activities and events put on by OmCulture, I can say without reservation that the Ecstatic Dance offerings are top shelf! Enough to get me on a ferry, navigate Seattle traffic, and take a late-night sailing home to Vashon Island.

For $20 or less with a multi-purchase (as of this review date), you can experience a beautiful venue seemingly created for these events, a wonderful group of human beings freely exploring their resonance with various incarnations of dance music (currently, the majority of 2x weekly sessions are curated by guest DJs in addition to the house DJ/creative force Adnan), and a warm post dance gathering complete with refreshments.

In addition, nearly every month OmCulture offers a "Bloom Dance Mini-Fest" for when two hours of free dancing is not enough! More of everything good!!

This is clearly a labor of love by the creators, organizers, proprietors, and especially the participants. But it's hard to tell which is which and whom is whom because titles are trivial, and amazing love and inclusion abounds in ways that are both reassuring and inspiring.

While it's a predominantly younger gathering and perhaps not for all dancing folks, my 60-year-old body finds plenty of reason to move to the energy created here and a loving place in which to leave some. And if this review piques your interest, you'd do well to take your shoes off and explore your inner self in this...

OmCulture is truly a gem for anyone seeking an immersive and transformative ecstatic dance experience. From the moment you step into the space, you’re greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately feels like home. The energy here is vibrant yet grounding, making it the perfect place to let go and connect with yourself and others.

The space itself is stunning—spacious, with beautiful lighting and thoughtful design that encourages freedom of movement and expression. The music is always on point, with skilled DJs and live musicians who create journeys that carry you through waves of emotion, energy, and joy. The diversity of rhythms and beats ensures that there’s something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood to flow gently or let loose with wild abandon.

What really sets OmCulture apart is the community. The people who gather here are open, kind, and deeply respectful of the shared space. There’s a palpable sense of unity and acceptance, making it easy for newcomers and regulars alike to feel welcomed and safe.

OmCulture isn’t just a dance floor—it’s a sanctuary for authentic expression, healing, and connection. Whether you’re dancing out stress, celebrating life, or seeking inspiration, this place holds the space for all of it. I can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking to tap into the magic of movement and community.
