We visited in a rainy day to avoid the long lines. The concept is cool- close your base (sweet cream, seasonal flavor or non- dairy option), choose a real fruit mix in flavor and choose optional toppings. You can get it in a cup or waffle cone for an additional $1.

I got sweet cream with blueberries. They use real frozen fruit that gets ground up and mixed with the base to order. I got a cup with a waffle cone on top with no toppings. The ice cream is not very sweet. I tasted the base alone and it was average sweet so the fruit they used wasn't sweet enough. My spouse got sweet cream and mango. That was also not sweet enough. The waffle cones were good. Made right there, very thin and crispy. They were tasty and had a little cinnamon flavor. I don't easy the whole cone but I ate this one and really enjoyed it. Each ice cream cones with candy eyes - cute touch. They were much faster than I expected- we only waited a couple of minutes for our ice cream to be made. The longest part is that people have to choose their flavors and toppings which can take a while. There are some seats in an outdoor covered area with a heater along the wall. There is covered area for the line that can fit like 20+ people under cover. Street parking.

I'd try it again in the summer hoping for sweeter fruit but was kind of disappointed that it wasn't sweet...

Our friend tipped us off on this place just south of Wallingford a block off Stone Way North after seeing a long line so on our way home from a Sunday we dropped by. On the day we went there was around 20 people ahead of us but it moved fairly quick. It’s pretty much a no frills ice cream shop that serves two types of soft serve - sweet cream dairy and vegan vanilla - with a choice of fresh fruit toppings and other optional side toppings for 50 cents extra per. You order at the counter and then wait for your treat! The ice cream is mixed with the fruit with a choice of a cup or fresh made waffle cone and then drill blender and comes out into a nice swirled mix! The ice cream reminded me of a place in Haleiwa called Sweet As less the $700 airfare. We got the mango with vegan vanilla and a blueberry with sweet cream and both were yummy. Not overly sweet which I liked and wasn’t overpriced. The service was good and in total time we got our ice cream in less than 20 minutes. The ambiance was lively and it is outside under cover seating off to side for about 20-25 customers. To our surprise the owner used to go to school with my oldest son. Def...

Very disappointed with my experience. It was our first time going and they messed up our order.

They called out my name and had two cones. One was for me and one was for someone else but they tried to hand me both. They said the one for me was a banana flavor. But our banana order had extra toppings that were missing so we let them know. After some back and forth they had put the toppings on the original cone, but then the worker finds out it was mango not banana flavor (which had no extra toppings). The worker snapped back with some attitude and clearly did not want to remake it to correct his mistake and so since the rest of our order was ready we just took it.

Errors are fine, but the workers attitude when handling the situation was disappointing. Also they should be certain in what they hand to customers and not just guess. Customers with food allergies could be impacted negatively.

Overall, the ice cream was 2/5 and not worth the experience. The flavors are pretty weak and the toppings selection is a bit sparce with some crossed out. I won't be back and wouldn't recommend waiting in the line. One good thing is the line moved...

The ice cream here was absolutely delicious. I ordered a vanilla with Mango mixed in and coconut chip and lemon curd Toppings. Fantastic. The lemon curd was tart, the coconut chips were crispy. Their waffle cone was the best cone I've ever had. It's thinner than most and stays perfectly crisp. The ice cream is soft, smooth, and not too sweet. The customer service is also fantastic. The line was long but they were efficient. They also tried to give people a heads up when they were low on ice cream. It's not easy to walk up to a long line and let people know that you're running low, and do it again when even more people line up. Perhaps, to help the employees, they can find a sign that indicates they're running low so people don't keep filing in line. It is a little pricey on my budget, but I thought the product and service validated the cost. They have lots of outdoor seating but it was also nice to walk around the cute neighborhood while eating some ice cream. Prepare to do laps for a parking spot if you're driving. I'll be back to try the lavender base and get more stamps on my stamp card.

tucked away in fremont, many bennie's has been everywhere in seattle when it comes to their social media presence! i have never had new zealand ice cream until now and it is very light compared to the traditional ones sold. it starts with choosing a base and then a "flavor" which includes seasonal fruits to then add your topping and if you want a cone. the store front is a walk up window with outdoor and covered seating with some cute outdoor lighting and heating. i can see it becoming very packed on a nice day and there will probably not be enough seats to accurate everyone but you could take your sweet treats to gasworks it was so fun customizing what we got and the mango and blueberry flavors were so great! i did like the lavendar base but feel like it didn't mix very evenly with the strawberries. i originally thought the fruit would be made into sorbet but the new zealand ice cream is so refreshing and would be great for the upcoming summer :) the cones were nice and crispy with the flavor being reminiscent of fortune cookies!
