I remember hearing about Mr. Gyros awhile back and had wanted to go for some time a finally did so on a Saturday afternoon. The location in Wallingford can sometimes be hard get to because of the parking situation but I managed to find a spot on the street out front. I had called in my order and it person working there had it ready to go when I arrived 15 minutes later. I order a regular gyro plate and it was a nice meal. What stood out to me was the rice and the pita. The rice was white with a light brown tinge due to the spices they used on the rice and there were fried onions throughout. I am accustomed to and enjoy the yellow rice that typically accompanies these meals, but their rice stood out for its tender grains of rice and great spices. The pita also stood out for it’s softness and the light browning. Overall, I’m glad I finally visited and will add it to the list of nice gyro places...

Been coming here for years and it's been one of my go-to joints for a quick food run so this updated review of my negative experience tonight at 8:44pm, truly breaks my heart. (10/31/2025)

Went in and ordered a lamb & beef gyro sandwich. Even with the price increase, I was surprised at how small my order was while it was being prepared. I thought my eyes were just playing tricks on me but lo and behold, I was handed a rolled up bag with my tiny sandwich in it that was lighter than my Samsung Galaxy S25+ phone. (.419 pounds)

Don't even get me started with the taste. It was so bland I thought I had Covid-19. I am always for supporting local food establishments but this is getting ridiculous. That was maybe a $5 sandwich, not...

Take this review with a pinch of salt as this is purely about my perception of taste and not about the attitude or cleanliness. This review is about the falafel primarily and overall taste/seasoning

Store: Clean Chef/cashier: Nice person Price vs Taste: 2/5 Taste: Very average. The falafel was overcooked to the extent that it was burnt and mostly due to that, it had become over salty too. I would have loved to have a perfectly baked falafel. My go to place is still golden olives as those folks have always been consistent in their taste

The disappointing part was the human power. There was one person who was doing pretty much everything which can be one of the reaons for the burnt falafel. I wish he had...

Everyone, make way, for the Mediterranean food connoisseur. I don't like to toot my own horn but given my past experiences with authentic and premier Mediterranean food, I feel like my opinion holds significant weight. Thus, hear me out when I say Mr. Gyro is on top. It is often hard to get high quality, professionally cooked, plentiful, and decently priced food here in Seattle. But Mr. Gyro has it all. I purchased the combo gyro platter and it was phenomenal. The meat cuts of lamb and chicken were cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. The vegetables tasted fresh and the hummus was delectable. This place is the definition of what authentic and perfect Mediterranean food. I highly recommend.
