I never post negative comments but please don’t waste your time coming here for dip powder. Not sure about their other services but I went here for a regular mani/dip powder and it only lasted a day before my nails started peeling and cracking. I was told they used a new top coat and that they would fix it so I went back and got it done again only to have my nails chipped again two days later. This is is so upsetting since it’s the holiday season and I have limited time. Not only was the job terrible they charged me $10 more than my original place which they gave me a different price when I initially called and when I got there they unprofessionally told me it was a mistake and they were charging more. I should’ve waited an extra day since my place was closed but got desperate and tried this place out. Please don’t go here. These pics were taken today, literally less than a week from my first visit and 3 days after they “fixed” the issue. If you get dip powder, you know it lasts way longer than gel, approximately 3 weeks and even longer at times.

Thank you, Paty for these beautiful French tip nails. I was stunned by the way they came out along with the massage and patience there was along the way. The service was amazing. Everything was so clean, well kept and very organized with the clients appointments. I do have to say that I was impressed by the new owners of this place. Lucy was very welcoming to me and others who came and also respectful/helpful to her workers. Lucy and her partner Jessica always made sure that everything was running smoothly. I would definitely recommend coming here again.

Hope Nails is great under the new owners. After moving to Secaucus a few months ago, I tried several places before discovering Hope Nails based on helpful reviews. Jessica did my dip manicure twice and today I also got a pedicure. I can’t say enough about the quality of services, but the best part is that when you come, you instantly feel like part of the family. The two owners took the risk, bought the place, doing nails alongside others, and are trying really hard to live that American dream ….. if this is not the story of “Hope,” I don’t know what is.

This is the worst nail salon to ever exist. Linda has been my family friend the entirety of my life, my mother, aunts, and grandmother were all her customers. I came in asking for powder gel, she showed me a board of about 7 nail colors. I chose one that looked white. As she was taking off my previous powder gel which was French, she did not take it off and decided to buff it. She then applied a clear powder and dipped my fingers in only once and told me it was a "fill in" (not what I wanted or asked for). After dipping my nails in she then put a clear gel polish on my nails and asked me to put my nails in the UV light. This is exactly what I did not want as I had my mother just have cancerous skin removed on her finger from UV lights hence why I did not go there to begin with for gel and I only wanted gel powder (it requires no UV light). She also buffed my nails so much that just about every single one of my cuticles were bleeding. After she gave me nothing of what I wanted and I still had my old manicure from three weeks before by another salon, she actually charged me $50 - which was not the price, she told me it was $30 but when I handed her my $100 bill she refused to give me the right change, which really is STEALING someone else's money. She even tried to do simple math to me in front of the entire salon and it didn't make sense she told me the fill in was $40 and the gel was $10 - which isn't correct pricing and to begin. with I walked in and simply asked for gel powder. If a client sits in your chair and asks for something, you do not give them other services and then charge them based on what you give them and not what they asked for... makes no sense. If someone comes to you and asks for a certain service they are entitled to that service and that service only. After 20 years of personal relationship and nothing but kindness I have had towards her even when I did not like her nail work I have realized I will no longer come back. She would not give me my $50 even after days of me asking for my change back, but I have come to realize that she can keep it, because she will never get my business again nor any of my family's. As far as nail work goes everyone that goes there knows they pretty much all around suck at nails.. I mean they did not even have the decency to remove my old set of gel powder? I find it hard to believe they are trained and run a business with the poor treatment they give people and the lack of talent for...

I have been a regular customer here for gel mani and pedi. But lately, they have issues with appointments. Today, i took 2 appointments for pedicure spa, clearly mentioned the time of appointment and told them i wont be able to wait because i have a hard stop after this and cant delay that. My husband and I arrive on time, one lady takes me for pedi spa and she told my husband to soak his feet. She continued with my pedi and no one showed up to do pedicure for 30 mins for my husband. Pedi spas usually take an hour to 1.15hr. After 30 mins of wait she is telling him i can quickly do your pedi spa in 30 mins, so basically paying full amount $70 for a 30 min service, half the time. Also, my pedi spa 10 min message was a joke, it was more like moisturizing my legs then a massage. I told the lady to apply little pressure, but she was reluctant.

This happened to me 3 weeks ago, i took an appointment for gel mani pedi, arrived 5 mins after time due to parking issue, and then waited for 20 mins, and still waiting. Eventually i ended up going to another place. This has happened to me 2 times in row within 3 weeks.

Seems like they dont value customers time and appointments. Moving forward i am not going to this...
