I'm originally from Philly, and not the suburbs, but I spend half my time in North Jersey before I fully move to the area. I'm still getting to know the surrounding areas and roads, so being introduced to Bagel Buffet has been really enjoyable. This is the first place my man brought me to back in January when we first started seeing each other. I won't lie, I was overwhelmed with the choices. But everything looked amazing & inviting, and you could tell business was great because of all the hustle and bustle. So let's just get into it shall we? PARKING The establishment shares a parking lot with other establishments. These are the pull in frontwards at an angle spaces. They are not my favorite. Parking is really hard to find during very busy times, like morning rush hour for example. As someone who is petite, drives a tiny car, reversing out is not easier and is kind of difficult. Especially if a big truck parks next to my tiny car blocking my view. It's great that the last few times my man and I came here was during less busier times where there was ample parking. Let me parallel park for you with no lines, bumper to bumper, or reverse a car into any spot for you, but these parking spaces are a yikes to me. ATMOSPHERE & MENU OPTIONS I do enjoy the warmth of this establishment. Everyone is always really welcoming! I had such lovely conversations with a few of the workers, especially Richard. I had the pleasure of meeting Richard at one point, and he was just awesome. One of the most amazing conversations I've ever had. I felt very welcomed. I did feel very awkward and apologetic about taking so many photos, but I meant no ill will. I do love scrapbooking and journaling in my spare time, so I love documenting, but I also do enjoy writing reviews as well and have a whole website around them called "dreamlikediana" for various interests. Interior design wise, I do enjoy the browns, reds, and warm lighting, but I do feel like all the menu boards blend in with each other. I don't know where to look in terms of them and it truly feels a tad bit overwhelming. I took the photos originally, not for a review per se, but because I really wanted to study what were my menu options. I'm a foodie. I am always down to always try something new. I feel like the menu boards don't serve me well, and I utilize the website menu more. I don't know where to look, but maybe that's just me? I, of course, even multiple times coming in here, I let my eyes shop. My eyes grab onto something and I don't let go. I'm glad the deli cases do exist! Like I said, there's just so many amazing options and everything I've had thus far from smoothies, to parfaits, to the paninis, everything has been so flavorful and so delicious! My man has been coming here for years and it's such a healthy option, very clean eating, when we are on the go. SEATING There is ample seating which is nice, but all the mirrors throw me off. But it's also great because you don't have to go to the bathroom to see if you got anything on your face after eating. I love the fact that there is seating. I don't always want to eat in my car, despite being used to it, so it was really nice to sit down for a change and really enjoy my meal. BATHROOMS The bathrooms aren't as well kept. OVERALL I'm definitely a returning customer, and I really hope to try more and more on the menu as time goes on. Especially the more I get acquainted with the area. Also, do try their fresh yogurt smoothies, they are a favorite for my man & I! Just the best tasting smoothies we've ever had!

I recall when there was multiple locations and I would freak Hackensack. Not sure if they were the same place, but I know that other place was not as shisty with their portions and product for the pricing especially. This place will charge an arm and a leg for a small cup of sour patch kids or a small cup of pudding that is at the Dollar tree. In my opinion. We ordered our sandwiches and we do not get egg on the sandwich. 9 out of 10 shops will increase the amount of food you're ordering, for example bacon egg and cheese, sausage egg and cheese, or Taylor ham egg and cheese, now not getting egg, would usually give an extra slice or so of tallahami, or sausage, etc. If not they adjust the price accordingly. Not this place. They gave us a very chintzy thinly sliced Taylor ham, maybe three little slices, and definitely more cheese than Taylor ham. Charged more than the average place, and was not even close to par with even the worst places that I go to, which is a sad example of a gourmet place, in my opinion. Not sure, unless they are stuck going there locally, why anyone would choose this place compared to others in the area.

Rating this Bagel Buffet 2 Stars when it use to be a 5 Star place for bagels. I have been coming to this place for the past 5-6 years and today I am really disappointed with my order, I ordered 4 bagels with special cream cheese and when I got to work 15 minutes later and opened my bagel to eat, I saw that it barely had any cream cheese inside. All 4 of my bagels had very little to no cream cheese on them which is extremely disappointing when you pay $25 for bare bagels. I will give them another chance because I love their bagels, but will find somewhere else if this happens again. **Update to review: I revisited Bagel Buffet on 7/11/23 and was very pleased with my order; and that they put enough cream cheese on all of my bagels. I will be returning again as a regular customer. Rating them 5 Stars!!

While we could have given this location for stars for good service and excellent bagels, we're pushing it up to five stars simply because of the cashier.

We decided to try the bagels here even though it was late in the day and figured they're probably not the freshest ones. However we were pleasantly surprised that they were extremely fresh and delicious. I don't know he's fine egg bagels at but when I do I always get one and these were the best ones I've had in a long time.

As for the cashier that definitely took the extra step to help us. We weren't sure how we got to $7 with our to bagels and drink assuming the bagels for only $2, therefore thinking in the drink was $4. However the cashier took the time to carefully explain to us and show us the prices of each as it turned out the bagels with butter were slightly higher which made sense of how we got to $7. this employee not only took the extra step to give us great customer service but he did it extremely politely and without any hesitation.

We would definitely recommend getting a bagel here if you're in the area and it might it be worth it to drive up at to get here for...
