Not worth the cost of gas, was told to go here by care and share. They gave a family of 4, 5 cans of food the cost to get a ride here I should have ordered food. Was trying to save money since I'm a mom and student currently unemployed looking for work. Don't go here if your struggling it was such a waste. We also had to go back to get an ID and an old grey haired woman who Identified herself as the woman on the phone tried to gaslight me she wasn't rude to me over the phone and that they didn't have his ID. Will update after we go back to check footage on cameras.
Update we had to contact police dispatch because they did not show me footage. Later we found out they had given my husband's ID to someone else. And we only found out when we realized he didn't have it and came back to retrieve it. So they do check ID here but they did not look at IDs when returning them. However, the gal who gave his ID away was kind enough to pay for its replacement.
Please be vigilant should you go here for assistance and make sure you have your ID. My husband is partially deaf and the kid who swears she gave it back to him placed it on the table, since I never saw video footage I can't say for sure if she said anything to him but there is a big difference in putting a card by someone and handing it back to their hand. I just have to trust what the officer told us which was the kid took his ID and another person gave his ID away on accident.
He couldn't get any help today anywhere else or apply to jobs because he had no way to identify himself for any benefits such as TANIF or unemployment.
I understand mistakes can happen, but please change formatting to just look at IDs not take them and if they are taken please hand them back immediately as this whole situation could have gone differently if better precautions were taken.
Personally after my experience today I will never be returning. It left a bad taste in my mouth as we are struggling to get back on our feet. My husband is a veteran and didn't do his 20 years, so we got...
Read moreI shouldn't even give them one star. I used to prefer to give them my kids old toys before taking them to the goodwill. I figured that they would go to a family in need. I just donated 3 huge boxes of my kids gently used very cool toys about a month ago. Then a week before Christmas I called to make arrangements for them to pick up a chase lounge and a loveseat that were in good used condition. I went out of my way to clean the cushion covers and pillows even. The first lady I spoke to was very nice she said they could pick them up the next day. I called the next day to see if they were still coming and I got a really rude lady. She said they were going by my house after there first "run" I said ok I just wanted to make sure you were still coming because we have already moved them outside. She said "where on the curb"? and I said "yes my husband had to go to work so he got them out there this morning". She proceeds to tell me that somebody will probably take them before they get there And she gives me an attitude. I told her I highly doubt it because I know my neighborhood and things don't go that quickly when left out for free. I also have the ring doorbell so I watched all day waiting to see if they picked them up. She said that they can not waste their gas and all this b.s. so at that point I kind of figured they were not going to pick them up. Around 4pm my husband called to see if they were still going to pick them up they told him yes that they were just behind. So long story short they never came and got them I found arrangements to take them to the goodwill. I just don't believe this is supposed to be a Christian place that helps people out but their employees are that rude and they say they will come get your stuff and never do. I literally live a mile and a half from this place and they are gonna complain about gas and then not even come get the stuff because they assumed it would be gone because we left it on the curb that's just crazy to me. I will not be donating to...
Read moreThe first of February your moving people moved a neighbor. The guys were fine, the lady was another story. She was rude, loud, actually made fun of me and to top it off, she accused me of stealing the mattress. Fortunately, we have cameras here and I called the manager immediately and told her what was going on. I had no idea what went on with this as I was in and out of that apartment going through things to bring to my neighbor, donate, etc. Well, it took the manager 2 weeks to look through the days involved and what she found was the guys moved out the mattress first thing and I didn't see and neither did Carrie. She accused me, screamed at me, mocked me and yet, I never got an apology from her. She must have realized when they unloaded the truck, the mattress was there. She was unprofessional and rude. Another neighbor and I had to go through all my neighbor's things, decide what to bring to her and donate. It was a monumental task and my neighbor couldn't leave her assisted living facility. We had to do it all ourselves. She is a dear lady and we wanted to help her. It was a heavy load to carry and we did quite well. I can't believe with what we were faced with, I had to put up with this abuse. She was rude to the other neighbor as well, but I got the brunt of her rude behavior. I was shocked, disappointed and I do believe she much be like this with other clients. Not a person to deal...
