We stopped here on our way to North Cascades National Park. They have some great gifts to buy there. My kids were also able to get their JR. Ranger books there, but the staff are not rangers, so they could not help them complete them. They also did not have the badges for the kids. They did give the kids some awesome little whistles and pencils though, so they were very happy.

Really nice visitor center and great that it is still open this late in the year. Helpful and friendly staff, all the usual things from an NPS visitor center available. If you are going to the North Cascades after Nov 1, this should be your first stop.

Really nice visitor center and great that it is still open this late in the year. Helpful and friendly staff, all the usual things from an NPS visitor center available. If you are going to the North Cascades after Nov 1, this should be your first stop.

Lovely center, Unfriendly staff.

We asked the lady behind the counter a question about one of the national park posters from out in front of the building. Rowena told us that we should google the question because she didn’t want to go into detail about it unless we “really wanted” her to.

The other gentleman was very nice and told us everything we were hoping to learn, but I’m not sure if he worked for the center.

The reason I went there was to get a firewood cutting permit for Mount Baker Snoqualmie National Forest. It's always fun to go there. This time, I was in and out pretty quickly. I dont mind waiting because there is so much information there that I like to peruse while waiting.
