Selma Civic Center — Local services in Selma

My husband and I used this venue for our wedding and reception. When we first toured the venue it was perfect.

When we arrived for rehearsal, and turned the light on in the kitchen, roaches scattered EVERYWHERE! They were on counters, in the refrigerator, the food warmer, where the buffet was supposed to be. So, we obviously couldn't use the fridge or food warmer because there were roaches inside and out. We couldn’t put food on the counters because of how many roaches there were. I literally had panic attack. caterers couldn't set up in the buffet area because of the roaches, so we had to move it to the seating area and change the set up completely. It was traumatic, disgusting, and very embarrassing. Was not worth what we paid to...

Today I was able to help my family have a repass for our beloved family. This facility is very nice. The size is excellent. Spacious room, stage area large enough for food and Tina was on site making sure everything was done properly. I love the extra rooms to use for storage or staging.

The sound system was on point. Only one small problem and when I told Tina about it she had removed the source of the problem....
