This is a reliably good Farmer's Market. The vendors set up on time, and the selection is good throughout -- unlike some markets where the vendors sell out too quickly. All of the vendors are extremely helpful in letting you know when certain produce items will be ready for sale, which is awesome for folks like me who aren't familiar with growing seasons for different crops. The artisans are varied and interesting, and this week included jewelry, pottery, and hand-crafted liquor. Shop carefully, and you will find that some of the produce vendors are super-inexpensive. Three huge bunches of spinach and one gigantic bunch of leaf lettuce at one vendor totalled only $5, while other vendors were selling single bunches of those items for $4 each. There are also some wonderful perennial, annual, and herb/vegetable plant vendors. I picked up enough lovely, native perennials to fill a sidewalk bed for less than $40. The plants are unique and not the same tired selection found at the big box stores. Bring your reusable bags, and save the vendors from giving you items in plastic bags!

I have lived in Sewickley many years yet for some reason was not going to this farmers market. (Located in St. James parking lot). Having gone now I dont know what I was thinking! The selection is wonderful. Just on my last trip I got fruit, vegetables, a wonderful goat cheese, blueberry honey spread, fresh bread, sweets- baked goods, a flower, some really great cat nip and came close to making a jewelry purchase! Where else can u get that diversity, qualitly of products & great prices. I will definately be going back!

A great farmers market in a small town atmosphere. Saturday's from 9-1. Packed with great vendors with produce, flowers, Hello Hummus salads and freshly made hummus. Runs thru Thanksgiving then once a month thru the winter. Check it out one Saturday when you're looking for a fun-filled morning. Sweetwater Center for the Arts has a small outdoor market once a month at the same time and just a short walk away.

The Sewickley Farmer's Market is a joyful way for me to spend a short time shopping in the open air with really good foods all around. There are tents set with prepared meals. There are tents set up with artisanal cheeses. Tents with local distilled beverages, Tents with fresh produce, Tents with hearty and beautiful plants, and hanging baskets. Breads, fruit, pierogi, frozen organic meat, wild salmon. There are times you have to park along the street. The parking lot is half for the church and half for the farmers market. Plenty of spaces for all. Bring a sturdy shopping bag and have a stroll in the sunshine and cheer of the Sewickley...
