What a nightmare dealing with AT&T. 3 months ago, I ordered a new phone online and scheduled in-store pick-up. Online, I selected to trade in my 2 year old phone, which would pay off the new phone.
Upon getting to the store, there was only 1 associate working with multiple people waiting on him. By the time he got to me, he seemed flustered and did not have my order prepared. He proceeded to get my new phone, but told me that he couldn't take my trade-in as they were not a corporate store; I would have to mail in the trade-in and wait 45+ days to see the billing credits.
I have now wasted 3+ hours of my life with AT&T support online only to be given multiple different reasons why my bill is twice as high as I was originally told. The largest reason is that AT&T completely botched the trade in process. I have received email confirmation that my trade was received by AT&T 2 months ago. I have yet to see any billing credits. Why? AT&T says - my plan isn't eligible (I signed up for new service when selecting the trade promotion. The plan was eligible). The store level associate must have disregarded my store pickup transaction and created a new transaction to 1. save himself time and 2. increase his pay via commission fraud.
I've also been told that AT&T hasn't received my trade, despite receiving confirmation they have. So in essence, my bill is now twice as high as what I signed up for, and AT&T has stolen my iPhone 13 Pro with no recourse to me.
Please do yourself a favor - if you aren't going to avoid this scam company, at the very least, choose a different, more competent store.
I have zero confidence that AT&T will choose to assist me in fixing their...
Read moreSuper disappointing experience. Went to this AT&T because it specifically had good reviews. My boyfriend and I wanted to join accounts and get signed up for their new internet. After three hours at the store thats what we thought we got. After we left we found that neither one of our accounts had been combined. In fact they somehow managed to take his old account and apply the internet to it but he had not service or internet because it had been terminated. And I had a separate account with internet under the wrong name (the employee Zac, had decided to use my middle name?). Further more Zac told us that we were eligible for phone upgrades. Both new iphones had their SIM cards inaccurately started leading to issues with AppleID's and the phones turning off/on. Finally we never got the internet started to the correct address, he did not sign us up for the insurance that first came with the phones, and we were not sign up for the wireless billing. I know this last part seems like small things but the fact that NOTHING was done right just added to everything else. Furthermore the entire time Zac was "helping us" he was also vapping in our faces. (I don't care if you do that on your personal time but while helping a customer..? Come on). It took another 2 hours at the Burnsville AT&T to get everything fixed and I can say confidently that I would give THEM a 5/5 review. However this Shakopee location, AT&T you might as well shut it down because they will...
Read moreDo not buy from this location 1140 Vierling Dr Shakopee MN At&t. Bought a new $200 Samsung phone at this at&t store in the evening of 9/3/25. Following day, I started to use phone. It wouldn't send text messages. I tried to use it for my business for credit card payments but phone would freeze in a thinking circle over and over. After a few hours, I started using my old phone instead. I went up to the At&t store on 9/4/25 less than 24 hrs later and they will return phone but will keep $55 for a restocking fee on a $200 phone. This is not posted anywhere in the store. No one in the store told me this when purchasing the phone. Manager said "bad training". Not on any paperwork - No paperwork was given. So after 25 years of being with At&t , I am leaving. I also pay for my brother's unlimited plan for his cell phone and I will be canceling this phone plan with At&t also. I do hope the $55 was worth it. Very deceptive business practice. Charging a $55 unknown restocking fee for a defective phone less than 24 hrs after purchase is wrong on so many levels. This location is not a at&t company owned business which means the owner of this place is okay screwing people and there is nothing at&t company can do about it. Do not shop at non at&t company owned stores because at&t customer service is only for company...
