My name is Chloe and I am 9 years old and I have been doing some research on sharks and about how in Asia fisherman have been catching different types of sharks and cutting off their fins to make money off of the fins, and then the fisherman throw the sharks back into the water to die! I don’t even know how people can kill innocent animals like that. I’m from Virginia but I’m on vacation in Holden Beach and I went into your store to get a tee-shirt when I was disturbed that you are selling real dead innocent baby sharks in a little thing filled with water! GROSS! I verified that they were real sharks with your cashier and even she thought they were gross and it was weird that your store had them. As a local I love this place! Holden Beach isn’t our closest beach but I go just to go to Islanders! They have all the popular brands of clothes, sunglasses, car decals, bathing suits, beach gear, and more. I’ve bought several Simply Southern things from here and swimwear for the whole family. My favorite swim wear I recently purchased is a swim shirt and skirt by Banana Boat that has Lily Pulitzer inspired prints! I’m in love! From the outside, iSlander looks like any other surf shop, just a little nicer because of how new it is. But when you walk inside, you can instantly tell that this store is different. Yes, iSlander has the cheap and generic T-shirts, board shorts, toys and trinkets that all other surf shops have.
