My first experience here went great, I was nervous going in because I have had some bad experiences in the past at other places. But Carla made me feel better and not so nervous. The shampoo and conditioner smelled amazing which was a good start. Carla took her time cutting my hair and answered any questions I had. Loved hearing how environmental friendly this salon is, also made me feel good about the products they use on my hair. Whatever products she put in my hair has it smelling amazing. Everyone there was really nice. I asked about a perm and Ed is really knowledgeable and answered my questions and was honest about what the results would be, which is nice because I want someone honest so I don't end up with results I wasn't expecting. Well I couldn't tell you how their service is as I couldn't get in with them. I tried twice to make an appointment with them. But both time was told it would be 2 weeks to get me in. I couldn't wait as I had something going on the next day. But was turned away both times. Not sure how they couldn't work me in, as I only needed was a quick fade and my beard faded. So I ended up going to Lincolnton Walmart and got it both done for $18.00. That was my hair washes, cut and beard faded. So I paid $40.00 to the elderly lady that cut my hair and beard. As a retired master hairstylist that relocated to the Shelby, NC, area, it took several months to find a stylist that actually knew what they were doing. I came to North Carolina from the west coast. And know quality methods of the industry. Way to many stylist attend a school and that is where their education ends. This field is an art, not just a place to draw a check. I look for talented creative stylists who listen to their clients desires, speak up with helpful suggestions, willing to step out of the box and wish to please thier client.
