My wife Sue and I recently moved from Maine to the Shelby area in search of a home which we quickly found one and went under contract. We needed a full house of furniture, so the hunt began for affordable quality furnishings. We made a list of local furniture stores in Shelby and began the search. The moment we walked into Laughlin Furniture we were met by some of the friendliest and most courteous folks we had encountered since our move. Our first trip in was a jaw dropping experience just the sheer magnitude of inventory on hand to choose from. Our second trip in after we had a confirmed closing on our home, we worked with the owner Ben picking out all of our previous choices and new selections. Being able to get all of our bedrooms living room and dining room furniture in one store in one visit was made extremely simple with the product knowledge of all of the Laughlin's experienced staff. On the morning of delivery day, Ben called to let us know they were on their way, right on scheduled time by the way. The first truck of two arrived and we met Derick and Charles who were very friendly and hit the ground running. They wasted no time in getting to work moving in and setting up our furniture. True professionals at their trade and very knowledgeable with awesome personalities. Our 7-1/2 year old chihuahua Lily even gave her approval of Derick and Charles and never barked once while they were here. That says a lot! Ben delivered the second truckload of furniture which Derick and Charles quickly unloaded, and setup in a very quick turnaround time and then they were gone, leaving behind no evidence that they had been here with the exception of four rooms of beautiful quality furniture. We were left with a lasting impression that Laughlin Furniture will no doubt be our go to for any future home furnishings. Great family...

I have lived in Shelby my whole life. My parents bought their furniture there. My family has always used Laughlin's Furniture Outlet. Our kids, now grown and setting up their own homes, shop there as well. First of all, this is possible because of the amazing selection and quality furniture from Laughlin's. We have purchased beds, kitchen tables, living room furniture, accent pieces, and so much more from them throughout the decades. The Laughlin's are generous, kind, humble, professional and caring people. They employ people with the same ethic and ethos as well. We have purchased furniture, and through the lean years, financed furniture, and have always been treated with generosity, respect and kindness. They have an amazing selection for all price ranges, and will bend over backwards to find what you need, and provide excellent customer service. I have never had a bad experience at Laughlin's and, in fact, the experience just keeps getting better. I literally am writing this review sitting on an amazing sectional purchased at Laughlin's. I cannot possibly recommend them more than to say that their amazing selection of furniture is surpassed only by their dedication to providing the best customer service experience you will find anywhere. And this will be because of their dedication to their craft and their genuine desire to treat everyone who comes through their doors they way they would want to be...

I would give zero stars if I could. The customer service at this place is horrible. We bought a 1400 dollar chair and less then a week later tried to use the special functions on this chair. They didn't work, called the store and they said we just not have hooked everything up when we brought it home. We had it delivered and the delivery didn't hook it up. It had nothing to do with us. They made me get into the floor and under this chair to hook up the parts and then was talked to like I was crazy because it wasn't hooked up to begin with. It isn't our job to make sure everything is hooked up, that's the companys and delivery guys. I was told the needed part would be ordered and I would get a call back about a technician coming out. So 2 weeks later I still hadn't gotten a call. So I called back, no one had any information, was told I would be called back again. I called back 7 days later and was just over this chair because of all the problems and wanted to return the chair. I was told absolutely no returns. All sales are final. So be very careful with this place. They will sell you defective furniture, then not call about fixing it and then when you are "done" they will not take it back. Everyone that answers the phone is rude as well and will cut you off and just act like they don't know what's going on either. Worst furniture business I have...
