Since this gym isn't open yet, I can't review it properly, but I can review the sign-up process: three stars--informative but an incredibly hard sell process, worse than the worst used car salesman, which is a huge turn-off. I'd had my eye on this place, which is bikeable from home, since before the pandemic, and I wanted to sign up, but was so turned off by the hard sell at their office that I left, telling them I'd decide in a week, which they desperately didn't want to hear! I also didn't care for the fact that there was no written contract to look at and take home, and when they printed out the e-version I asked for, one section was so suspiciously small in print that I had to take it home and use a magnifying glass! Don't they know how manipulative that looks? Another reason to give it a week to decide. The only potential concern I saw in the small print was that they don't have to notify you for additional charges up to $50. That's probably because people buy drinks and towels, making it onerous to do constant notifications, but technically they could also double charge you without notification, so one has to check the credit card statement monthly, as with all gym memberships and indeed all subscription services. But I've been a gym rat in 5 different gyms across the country over 40 years and haven't been charged incorrectly yet. All of them have the 30-day notification for ending membership, so that's standard. I did eventually go back to the office and sign up, as other locations have decent reviews and it's closer to home than my pre-pandemic gym. So far they have only charged me the sign-up fee, as is correct according to the agreement. I look forward to it opening in July, and hope it actually does so. And I would LOVE an assurance that they will install bike racks in front of the gym! EOS, could you do this please?
UPDATED REVIEW: Now that EOS has opened (8/12), I can give it the five stars it deserves. About 50 other people were in there and, without even trying, I didn't come within 10 feet of anyone--that's how spacious it is, which is more important than it used to be. Of course, more people will join, but this is about the size of 2 Costcos and has super-high ceilings. Because it's a new build, it probably has good air filtration too, and everything is very clean. So that's all a big plus. Tons of machines of every kind, lots of Cross-fit-type props available and big workspaces. It's everything the salespeople promised and more. This is the nicest gym I've ever been a member of, in my 40 years of being a gym rat. I know I lost a lot of lean muscle mass during the pandemic and it feels great to be back!
UPDATE: I have now been a member of EoS since it opened about three years ago. I really enjoy all the equipment, but it's become quite crowded lately and I have to try to come at odd hours if I want to get to all the machines I like. Still, I would give it 5 stars for having so much equipment and such a large space and it's still quite clean. But I did drop it to 4 stars because last week, as I was leaving, the friendly person at the front desk cheerfully sang out "Hey, free t-shirt if you give us a 5-star review!" That stopped me in my tracks so I returned to the desk and had a chat with her. It would seem from the crowd that EoS is probably making enough money that they shouldn't need to buy reviews like that. And the fact that they've so openly gone to this practice of bribing reviews cost them a star and a fair...
Read more15-year active duty veteran, serving in the FL Army National guard the past 3 years. I decided to join this gym based on amenities. I met with (fitness manager) CAMERON RUSSELL (now fired?) for a body scan 1 month later after signing up. I was told I could have a personal trainer for $19.99. It would be 4x 1/2 sessions at 1 per week. All I would need to do is sign up to pay for it. No mention was made of $88.00 per every 2 weeks per "contract agreement," which he conveniently scrolled through to not show but only the signature portion on the screen, assuring me that it was only to authorize the $19.99. Shady...
The trainer "Julia" provided was a problem to respond to the schedule, only had one session with. She also quit or was fired, so who knows?
So NOW I pay $28.88+$28.88+$88.00+$88.00=$233.76. No copy of the contract was provided electronically or physically. 2 months later, after 4x $88.00. I met with "Beni," the new fitness manager, having to deal with over 20 other customers in the same boat.
I was also informed that the contract has a rollover clause that on the 6th month, November 5th, 2024, if I don't physically go in and sign to cancel the contract, I will continue another 6 months. Wow, it's a bit predatory. I am still waiting on a physical or electonic copy to furbish to JAG at McDill AFB and the military board of consumer affairs to review.
Physical contracts need to be provided and read by the customer. Shame on me, right? but where's my physical copy. Is staff not doing their full job and receiving incentives and benefits for contracts? Above all, why are staff not bound by company contracts for damages against the company and customers?
Expect to pay $20-30 fee per account if they do not get their money on time. Remember you work for them it's not the other way around.
Upon recent visit half the massage chairs are broken heated pool freezing. Great job... thanks "Nick" you sold us your product and this has been the worst gym experience ever... stay tuned for more updates till our CONTRACT is over their choice not ours.

Read moreI had been going to this gym since 2022 and the gym itself is fine, but I’m giving one star for how bad they tried to screw me. When I first started going, I signed up for a personal trainer that was supposed to only be for a certain amount of weeks or else I’d have to pay more. It was all clearly stated that this would not be a recurring charge. I even had someone there with me who used THEIR credit card for it because the personal trainer lessons were a birthday gift. They unfortunately continued to charge that person afterwards and we were unable to get the money back. I should’ve seen that as the big red flag to switch gyms but I didn’t because I was comfortable at that gym. This past spring, I switched to being on the basic membership instead of the higher one that I had been paying yet they continued to charge me the higher amount even though they said I was on basic. They realized this mistake and said they fixed it but then the following month, I had to talk to the front desk again for charging me a second time at the higher amount. They apologized and said the girl who took care of it before didn’t do it correctly and that they unfortunately could not refund me. I was mad but I let it slide until they did it a THIRD month in a row. This time, I came to them and asked to cancel my membership altogether which they said they did until I looked at my card transactions and saw the $50 annual fee. I had to not only dispute the transactions with my bank, but change my credit card because they wouldn’t stop trying to bill me. So take it from me, a local — chances are you’ll get scammed. And I’m just now writing this review because my bank told me I had won the dispute. So all in all, I loved the gym locker rooms, it got too crowded in the evenings, early mornings were best and if you end up signing up and then switching gyms, be sure to change your credit card and get a new one or they will continue to take your money. The staff constantly changes too so you’ll never have the same personal trainer so I wouldn’t waste your time. ALSO, dear EOS, you’d do a lot better if you changed whatever terrible company that is doing your billing. They are screwing the...
