Huge store, probably an old Penny’s or Goodies. The store is incredibly picked through though. Idk if employees pull good stuff for it can go out or what but RARELY is there anything really cool. Prices can be really high. They are very liberal with what they consider “boutique “ items. This could be very used lularoe clothing or Walmart brands. Occasionally there is something nice or new with tags in the “boutique” side but they make sure to price it high. Prices on items aren’t necessarily what they will charge you. No one seems to be on the same page for what constitutes what type of price.
On one occasion I picked up a pair of boots that had a 3 on one side where the lady at the register insisted it was actually a $17, no way I could see $17 but regardless I didn’t want them for that price. The lady was very rude and continued to insist that they were originally marked $17. Even saying multiple times “see a 1 and a 7 that’s 17” which came across really condescending. 3 weeks later the boots are still there with that number scratched off and a very clear and legible $15.
Furniture that is broken to the point of it severely affecting function is routinely put out and priced at $55-$60. It’s not uncommon to see $30 pieces of furniture that no one wants anyways. 🤷🏻♀️
But like I said every once in a while there is something really great.
This location just isn’t as well managed as the one...
Read moreUpdate on my original review: the inside hasn't gotten much better here. I don't know about shopping here, but I will NEVER donate my items here again after the unprofessionalism and borderline STEALING that my husband and I witnessed a couple weeks ago. We were actually parked nearby waiting for our Chinese food, and witnessed a white female employee along with her two white preteen daughters rifle through all the donations they were SUPPOSED to be loading into the store's wheeled cart. When ANY of them found something they liked (which was often), they loaded it straight into the woman's dark colored van parked within a few feet of the donation box's door. Everything else was tossed into the cart. I watched them do this a good 20 minutes before the cart was full. She closed up her van and rolled the cart back into the store. Didn't realize until today that employees and their children get first pick of donated items instead of the thrift shop earning money for the PTA. Shameful...
Read moreI was in the thrift store on January 8th around 2:30 when a man walked in complaining about the woman behind the counter not saving a CD rack for his wife. He got very loud and argued back then an non on duty police officer got involved in the discussion and tried to usher the man out. None of these things worked until Gabriel came up. Gabriel walked and listened to the man. At that moment the complaining customer immediately calmed down. Then Gabriel got the man outside and handled the situation outside. Thank goodness for Gabriel! He was polite to the customer even though the customer was very loud. He listened and respond in a way that deescalated the situation. I will continue to shop at the thrift store because of how Gabriel handled the situation. Gabriel could have been rude back but he was not. ...
