New China Inn — Restaurant in Siler City

*Edited AGAIN on 4/9/25 I decided to go back and give them another chance. NOPE! Still messed up my order and when I called them all she did was apologize, nothing further. I ordered sweet and sour chicken. I got home and there was no sweet and sour sauce. So I have little fried pieces of chicken. That’s it, I’m done with them. I’m going to Lam’s from now on. Their prices are a little higher but the food is better and you get what you order! *Edited in 6/18/23. I’m not sure what’s going on there but the last 3 times I’ve been there, my take out order was messed up. This has never happened before, and now, 3 times in a row. All 3 times it was a lady I’ve never seen before. Do they have new owners? The food is still very good but the House Special Lo Mein (Large entree) was just plain Lo Mein with a few random vegetables. No meat! (this happened twice in a row) and I ordered lunch specials and requested egg rolls and didn’t get any (3 times in a row). I ordered a regular large tofu and vegetables entree and there was only 4 pieces of tofu in it. I think I’ll find somewhere else to get my Chinese for a while. 3/7/25 UPDATE: The place diagonally across the parking lot has been working out nicely. Great food and service and no problems with my orders.

Awesome food at very reasonable prices. Fresh vegetables. Lean meats. Legitimate Chinese food. Not over seasoned or over sauced. I’d almost say it’s perfect in my opinion. Friendly, attentive people who have NEVER messed up any of my orders. Not a lot of ambience but I’m not going there for...

Stopped in again tonight. Probably the freshest chinese food we've ever had. Both the staff and the food are worth stopping in for! Really great Chinese food here, and the staff is always nice and accommodating. The couple times an order has ever been wrong, they were quick to fix it. I don't know how they cook their Broccoli, but it is always on point. Our favorites are the crab rangoon, pork lo mein, chicken and broccoli, general tso chicken, and the sesame chicken. We love the boneless spareribs also, but they can be a bit too fatty sometimes. They give generous portions in every order, and the food is ALWAYS hot and fresh! Great food. Sweet people. Simple place. This is your hole in the wall spot for the best chinese in town! The prices are fantastic! And we have 6 kids, so we would know! We can all eat a party plate/platter of low mein, shrimp fried rice, and chicken wings for about $40. Add an extra 10 wings for about $10. It literally comes loaded into a metal tray!! We always have leftovers and with 8 people that's saying something. That said, it isn't the place for a romantic date or anything. Just a clean, reliably yummy, mom and pop place. I come about every 2 weeks....
