I ordered a fajita, and there was a fly that was still alive that was upside down in my salad. I pointed it out to the waitress, and she quickly gave me another salad. I didn't feel comfortable eating the salad because I wasn't sure if it was a new salad or the same salad without the fly. Especially since it took her less than 2 minutes to bring out another salad. The fajita was very bland, making it obvious that the meat was not seasoned besides with onions and peppers. It was definitely not worth the price of approximately $18.
Even though the waitress apologized for the fly in my salad, I was not offered a discount or anything else for the inconvenience. Even after I mentioned it to her at the cash register. Read moreThis is one of those places you stumble across and keep coming back to again and again. We first stopped some years ago on a trip. It is about an hour from us on a major western route. I would say we eat there about three or four times a year. External appearance is okay but not great. The strip mall has seen better days. Inside is pretty standard booths and tables with nice decorating. If you are into appearances over substance, probably not for you. A good menu selection with all the standards and a handful of unique dishes. The food has always been very good and this visit was great. The waiter said they have a new cook. Service staff is good, probably great by today's standards, especially the young man who helped out our waitress. Food cost is reasonable for the budget minded. I would recommend this to anyone traveling past Siler City where...
Read moreWorst customer service from the young waiter ever. Messed up my order didnt put it in when my wife and I ordered at the same time. Then when it come out it was wrong. My wife's steak was completely DRY she had a side of Avocado. After eating she was immediately sick and has been since Saturday Evening (Feb 2nd). Throwing up and Diarrhea. Called to discuss this with the manager and he hung up the phone while she was explaining the situation. Since no contact or respect was giving, guess we take this higher. We believe she got food poison from something she ate. My wife and I both work in the restuarant business and I could not the believe the lack of concern from a sick customer that ate at this Compadres. Lost 2 customers, but we will...
