Harbor Freight — Local services in Simi Valley

One of the nicest HFT stores I've been to. Full disclosure, I also work for HFT (corporate). The staff are really friendly and helpful even before they learn we're co-workers. I've been a consumer here for years... well before I worked for them. As a former professional Carpenter, they've always had a unique place in my toolbox (rare or one-time use specialty tools or simple things like gloves) but now that they're investing in professional line tools I'm hopeful. No, I'm not sold on it yet like many. There are still too many battery configurations to manage if you go cordless with HFT so I'd need a special room for all the chargers. But again, I'm hopeful and we'll see if they manage to complete a full line of quality cordless tools. Couple of weeks ago I purchased a pocket hole Jig from Simi Valley Harbor Freight. During first week of using the jig the drill bit broke. It is a very unique drill bit very similar to Kreg's pocket hole drill bitt. I felt it broke due to my negligence. Today i went back to the store looking for replacement drill bit. Unfortunately they do not sell replacement drill bitts. When I told the salesperson what happened he looked up my purchase history on the system and made a paper transaction as i returned the unit and gave me a brand new drill bit from one of the unopened units. I just visited the store to buy a pack of batteries. I like the store overall, got what I wanted but the 2 star review is because of the cashier I believe a one Ms.Melissa. The billing the machine was not able to take the phone tap so I asked if I could pay on another machine, to that she did his heavy sigh and then just straight up stopped talking and showed this weird attitude, I would call it a combo of rudeness and an ism which I dont want to as far to call it out, but I definitely got weirded out and felt unwelcome, i mean for what? just to bill on another machine, and there was one customer in the line behind...
