Goodfellas — Local services in Smyrna

I have been a client of Mark since March of 2019. He is a fantastic barber, extremely professional, friendly/humorous, and mostly punctual.

Due to the recent unforeseen circumstances caused by COVID-19, the shop was forced to temporarily close it's doors. Today, Thursday, May 28, the shop re-opened and has implemented an incredible precautionary system for both it's staff and cliental.

Now, when entering the shop, you must sign a mandatory electronic waiver form and wear a face covering. The barbershop also encourages its clients to book appointments only, limiting walk-ins. The "waiting area" has been eliminated and clients are encouraged to wait in their vehicles and are notified by their respective barber when it is time for their appointment.

Today I witnessed barbers, Jacob, Mark, and Rico sanitizing their work stations including, chairs, equipment (clippers, scissors, brushes, etc) and cutting capes. All barbers wore face coverings and gloves during the entire duration of my appointment. Mostly importantly, each barber was attentive to the needs of their clients and treated them with respect and care. The quality of their work is unchanged, but in many ways has improved!

It is clear that the shop is working diligently to adjust to business amidst this COVID-19 pandemic. The systems in place seem both effective and necessary in order for business to proceed as usual. The shop went beyond my expectations for safety/health precautions and I felt both safe and comfortable during my visit today.

I would suggest providing customers with physical/paper-copy of the waiver forms and strongly advertising the new barbershop procedures on all platforms and around the shop.

I would say Goodfellas Barbershop not only represents good barbers, but also a good community. Many fill the shop with laughter, love, intellect, and overall family orientation. The community respects the no cussing policy which in turn keeps bad conversations along with explicit music out of the atmosphere. We all share in the joys of graduations, new opportunities in life, birthdays, and even new additions to the family lol. But we all also share in the saddened and untimely times that only life can bring. Neighbors, classmates, coworkers, teammates, and friends line the shop daily. Goodfellas Barbershop is not only a community barbershop, but extended family who you all have allowed to be part of your lives. From all the Goodfellas we'd like to say thank you. See you...

If my daughter and I have to wait for my son to get his haircut, we want a halfway decent place to sit for 45 minutes. FYI - Jacob has a bad attitude and two other barbers who have cut my sons hair in there jacked up his hairline (severely). They encourage you to sit in anyone’s chair, but it’s risky. I’d rather pay the other local barbers for their $20 cuts. At least I know it will be quality and I don’t feel the need to sit in my car and wait due to filthy furniture (it feels like a tiny...
