I’m unsure what’s going on at this Kroger. My boyfriend and I have been shopping here for years. Sometimes we’re there multiple times a week. It’s had its ups and downs but the issues always seemed to rectify themselves. Today we chose to walk out and shop at Publix instead. A few weeks ago when looking at the cheeses we saw multiple growing mold. We have to check dates on everything as on many occasions items are expired (this goes for almost every department in the store). Today all I needed was a bell pepper. Of course there are always some veggies close to going bad wherever you are but this was a bit much. Rotting bell peppers in the non organic and organic section. I didn’t pick up every single one of them to check because I shouldn’t have to. Majority of them were wrinkling alongside the one that had started to cave in due to rot. I also noticed a bag of apples with a rotted apple inside that had collapsed. The bag was full of fruit flies. I don’t know if it’s management, lack of employees, or lack of labor hours but this Kroger needs help. I want to continue to shop here but if I cannot buy what I need in one stop I’m not going to continue to waste my time. I hope this can be rectified.

This is a run down (despite a refresh) and unsafe place to shop. I won’t let my wife go there alone. Management is absent from the sales floor. The store is critically understaffed. You are forced to take a price increase on your purchase by having to endure the indignity of self checkout because there are rarely cashiers available. You have to bring a cart with you from the car park as there are rarely any carts available at the door. Shelves are a wreck with missing labels. It is a shame because this location has so much potential. Produce is always a week from rotting. You must check every label for freshness in the perishables- bread, dairy, frozen and meats. Clearly the upper management has made the decision to do the minimum to keep this location running. Subpar. Save yourself the painful experience and shop elsewhere. NOT Recommended.

This is the worst run Kroger I’ve ever seen. There are NEVER any carts inside which leaves costumers scrambling back into the parking lot to find carts (this is both dangerous and unsanitary as they have not been sterilized between uses). When you finally find a cart it isn’t even a Kroger cart; It’s from the food depot across the highway! Once you get inside it isn’t much better. Poorly stocked shelves, having to use grocery bags for produce, and once you check out you have to walk single file because they have just piled carts (that should be used by the customers) up at the exit with to go orders that have not been sorted (and nobody there doing it). I’ve tried to give this place a chance (coming 8-10 times), but it gets worse every time I go. If you think I’m lying just look at the pictures.

Im writing this post because I do not have an opportunity to speak with management myself. So, I have to resort to social media and spread Kroger business openly. My name is Waneda and I have been removed from Kroger at 3240 S Cobb in Smyrna Ga for no reason. Kim, one of your employees have been lying to management for quite some time. Apparently she has told management that I am a thief, but yet, no merchandise has ever been found on me. Nor, have I been seen on surveillence or any such thing. She finally got her Supervisor friend Rose to call and assist the police while she stood behind her and watched. Kim works the night shift. She has colorful long hair. Everytime I see her she has on a backwards hat. This whole incident stems from a few months ago. I asked her nicely if I could dress alone. I was putting on my clothes in the womens restroom and she stood watching me. I asked her if I could have privacy. Obviously, this upset her. I do not live her lifestyle and would never condone it for myself. Also, I am not her judge, nor am I anyone elses judge for the lifestyle they live. I HAVE ALWAYS treated Kim with an underserved respect. It is underserved respect because her actions since that day have been very, very disrespectful. You dont press your lifestyle on people. That is not fair. If I was sitting outside under the umbrella, I noticed her watching me on different occasions. She would sit in the window and watch me. She freaked me out so bad one time I stood out of her sight with my back to the wall. This present day she had me removed by the police from the store and I am NO THIEF!!! I have never even been arrested, photographed or fingerprinted... I wont even taste the grapes in the produce area unless im interested in buying them because I would feel guilty. This is who I am. After she had me removed I noticed her following me for about a week. I no longer have that problem. But, she's made her presence known twice since that time. I have enjoyed thoroughly my family at Kroger: Bruce my boy with the gift of Subsandwich preperation; Virgil at checkout, Always joyful and with a smile; Ms. Gloria (Ms. Glo) The Chef whose Turkey and Gravy is off the CHAINZ (Hint, Hint Kroger); Bri, Ms. Serious, All the time... She know her job; Ms. Marie, whose samples in the back on sample row has her own special touch added; Ms. Martha, she just down right cool... #RealTalk Lol; The Cookie Girl, she always got watchu need back there in Bakery. Her and I got the same sweet tooth in common...šŸ˜‰; Then there's Cherie the cake lady... GOT SKILLZ on Cake Decorating!; Micheal; Ervin; Armani; Doug; Lisa; Elizabeth (Lizzy); Burger Cedric; Conner in Deli ("C"); Julio; Terry; Jerome (Big Brother J); Supervisor Kathy who have yet to read my book, HA! Lol just kiddin... (Kroger, dont trip, the vook is free) etc, etc... I can go on and on with this list... I am a woman who really do like the opposite sex. I like men and I would appreciate it if this young lady, Kim, would respect that... Thank you for your...

Last night (6/28) around 8:30pm I went grocery shopping at the South Cobb Kroger as this was the only time I had available this week. I went to checkout around 10:00pm. I stood in line as there were a few people in front of me. By the time I got to the register the cashier working told me she was closed and go go to one of the self-checkouts. I was confused and upset as my cart was overflowing with groceries (I spent about $400).

I asked to speak to a manager because I had entirely too many groceries to do self checkout. The young female ā€œmanagerā€ repeated what the cashier told me. I explained that it was just too much and if someone could just ring me up I would bag. She went on to say they couldn’t and that the self-checkout has different sizes to place my groceries. She had no sympathy for her me even after I told her I was pregnant and just needed help. This ā€œmanagedā€ had the audacity to look at my belly!

At this point I asked to speak to someone above her. I was extremely upset at this point because I shop here all the time. I’m practically at this store every single day because I’m always forgetting to purchase grocery items.

She goes and talks to another manager (I’m guessing). After it looks like they’re going back & fourth for a minute she comes back over and rudely says, ā€œwe’ll do it as a courtesy.ā€ Then she points for me to move from register 15 to 14 while telling me she’ll ring me up. As I go to move registers she tells me ā€œno I’ll ring you up on 15ā€ and then walks off.

As I’m unloading my groceries the previous cashier starts to ring me up. During this time the male manager (I’m guessing) walks over (I’m crying at this point - pregnancy hormones?) and says he’s sorry. That it wasn’t a big deal and not to be upset. He goes on to say they’re understaffed and he’s not sure why the cashier didn’t place a cart in her lane so people would know it’s closed.

I kept trying to apologize to him because I felt really bad like I had done something wrong. He just keeps going on about how he doesn’t even use self-checkout himself. There’s never really sincere apology. Never one did he or the previous manager ring me up, but instead made the cashier do it.

I am just in shock about what happened. I love Kroger! There’s plenty of employees there who go above & beyond and that’s why my husband & I keep coming back. However, I’m just so upset about last night! I’ve never been treated like that before. At this point, I’d make the farther...

I keep giving this store "another chance" because once in a while they have it together and it is a pleasant experience. That only seems to happen when Managers are visiting. This morning I just need a few basic things….Spinach, a lemon, bananas, salmon, yogurt, dish detergent. Easy right? Wrong!

As usual I walk into the produce section which is empty (?) I found 1 bag of spinach which looked a little wilty but thought I could rescue it. There were NO bananas. There was a cart with boxes of bananas but no one putting them out. Not to mention I have never stepped into a grocery store that was completely out of bananas except for this Kroger and all of the time! I opened a box and helped myself to green bananas.

From there I bought 2 pieces of questionable salmon for $12. In the past I could at lease count on fresh fish but recently have had issues with getting any tilapia or problems with the freshness. :( From there I went for the yogurt only to find more empty shelves! Seriously????

I found dish detergent and went to the self checkout because the lines were moving like molasses. When I cooked my $12. salmon with the spinach and lemon I was so totally pissed off to cut into it to find dry meat full of bones! I wound up having a bowl of soup.

I have never left a review before because I though maybe they would get it together. I honestly think it may be worse than the last location. This is the closest grocery store to me and was so excited to not have to drive further to go to Publix but at this point I would walk the extra distance to Publix not to EVER set foot in this store again.

Management should be ashamed of themselves for allowing what has the potential to be a successful store go down the tubes like that!

I also am tired of having to pass carts full of returns at the front of the store as I am...
