I am usually a frequent flyer at Smyrna Thrift store. Today , I had the most horrible experience with one of the rudest employees in my many years of shopping at Thrifts stores. And having read other reviews, my experience was not an isolated incident.
It started with asking one of the employees, who puts the clothes out. I asked her to place a price on an items, She pretended that she didn’t her me, I asked again., are you the person who price the items?. In such a rude tone no, go over there, asked another employee are you the person who priced items , she redirected me to another place. . When, I get to the area all hell breaks loose. I asked a third person, are you the person who place prices on items. Her response, no. The manager places prices on item's. He is at lunch. Ok, I will wait for him to return. She then reached into my basket attempted to remove the item. I asked her what are you doing? She begin to engaging in a full blown hostile argument with me. Insisting that she she would hold on to the item until he returns, then swore she had the right to reach her hand into my cart. It did not end there. She accosted me, while, I reported her behavior to the cashier. And continue to be rude toward me while , I reporting her behavior to the cashier. I felt embarrassed, asked is this really happening, asking her to get away from me, while others stared . Her behavior was unacceptable especially as an employee working in the public sector with a customer. I left my name and number requesting a return call from the store manager.

Read moreI usually really love going here because they still have open changing rooms, which is not the average thrifting experience anymore. However today I was interacted with the rudest staff I've ever talked to.
I've been here multiple times and they usually close the changing rooms 15 minutes before closing. However they closed them 30 minutes before closing this time. We had 2 more items of clothing to try on, and a woman was waiting on us so I apologized and explained the situation (we had been trying on clothes for 20+ minutes) she glared at us and told us they were closed. Then another woman comes up and also aggressively tells us the changing rooms are closed. My friend is shirtless and trying to get her clothes on and give them the ones we didn't want and they're just glaring at me the whole time.
When she gets out we go to a different part of the store, once again with 25 minutes left before closing, and complain to each other about the employees before checking out. They check us out and I did not get all the discounts I was supposed to, it was maybe $10 more than it should have been. One of the employees is glaring at us the whole time we're checking out. Then on the way out she tells us to tell them if we have a problem with them instead of making fun of them and tried to argue with us! By the time we left the changing rooms still should have been open, but they were practically kicking us out and lying about what time it was. I...
Read moreThe business is very unethical! First, they had a bike with a lock on it. A customer asked about the key to remove the lock and was told by a male employee that the bike was left outside with the lock on it and the owner put a price on it. WHAT? How is that okay? Then, at checkout, the couple in front of us decided to not purchase an item, and an older woman made them sign a receipt showing they weren't purchasing it??? Again, WHAT!? Then, the same older woman (who I think is the owner) decided to completely change the prices of the items I was purchasing. I spoke to an employee who priced a couple items at 0.65 cents each; however, at check out, the older woman stated it would be $1.25 each. When I spoke to the younger woman again and informed her, she said she'd be happy to honor the price and the older woman then yelled and told her she couldn't. Completely poor experience, and I would encourage you to go elsewhere. That woman is ruining...
