I stopped into this spot after church one Sunday. This was my second time patronizing the business. On my first visit I just grabbed a biscuit from drive through. On my most recent visit I opted for a dine in experience. This is the type of spot where you order your food at the counter and are given a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready. I opted to try the catfish and grits meal. To my surprise they do offer it grilled instead of fried! I opted to get it cooked in Cajun seasoning. The restaurant has seating both inside and outside. Since it was such a nice day we opted to sit on a bench outside. While you wait on your food you can grab napkins and silverware so that you have everything you need once your food is ready. It does appear that the food is cooked to order. It took about 10 minutes for our order to be ready. The first thing I noticed with my meal is that it was extremely salty! This may have been the result of the seasoning I requested. I would not recommend it if you are trying to watch your salt intake! I mean they went over board with it! The fish was served with grits and eggs. It was an average breakfast. The grits were not thick, which is my preference. The eggs were ok. I honestly just feel like the seasoning over powered. The meal. If you are in need of a breakfast meal I would suggest giving them a try. I think the main thing is just going in understanding that it’s a basic breakfast spot. If you don’t go in expecting to be wowed, it works!

My group collectively had 1/4 lb hamburgers, chili cheese slaw dogs, fries, and home taters. The hamburgers seemed to be from frozen patties. The chili tasted like hormel. The slaw was very good. The French fries are comparable to another large chain with fresh cut fries. The home fries appear to be the lost clippings from making normal fries that were treated with a coating of seasoning. The sauce that comes with the home taters is delicious. Overall, the experience was enjoyable and the staff friendly. Everything tasted good, was prepared well, and served safely.. I look forward to trying breakfast. Update: Had the bacon plate with gravy and a side of grits. The eggs were the type I remember getting from the holiday Inn, cooked in a large steel serving pan and kept warm until scrambled eggs are needed. The bacon had been warmed up. The biscuit was the best part, flaky and moist. The gravy was tasty and served hot. The grits were genuine, and not instant, with lots of butter and a seasoning I could not place. Everything was tasty. I was in the area and stopped for a breakfast. The experience was as noted above except the grits were really gray and while not bad tasting, they weren't great either. I didn't finish my meal and changed my rating based on the past two experiences.

WARNING FOR ANYONE WITH BREATHING ISSUES AND ALL ADVERSIONS TO ANYTHING PEPPERY OR SPICY! There is NO warning about any spices (with the exception of the reaper sauce, that's a given) I took ONE bite of the chili cheese fries and IMMEDIATELY had to spit it out cause whatever the peppery spice in it cause my lungs to close up. There needs to be a warning or something. If I had actually swallowed that I could have died. The man (guessing the manager or something) in the wheelchair came over to ask how things were, My husband and I tried to say something, his response was "oh I'd hate if I couldn't eat things that were spicy". REALLY?? I COULD HAVE DIED SIR, it's deeper that just not being able to eat it. I WILL NEVER BE BACK HERE AND PASS THIS ON TO EVERYBODY I KNOW IN SMYRNA.

Update 6/22/22: Response to owner: I have never had a chili that was so peppery hot in my entire life. Never. I like chili and usually have no problem eating it, but possibly you should disclose your ingredients somewhere. As I sat there choking and not being able to catch my breath, you provided no concern even when I did the best I could to talk and tell you I was not okay. Yes, my family was there and my husband was oblivious with which I ASSURE you he won't do that again. I did not eat anything with the reaper sauce, I only tried to take a bite from the chili cheese fries and spit it out immediately. Also, one other thing about disclosing ingredients. There is a tater sauce. We had to ask what was in it because again, no ingredients listed. Luckily we did, as we were informed it contained bleu cheese which again, I am allergic to that. I would like to come try breakfast because initially that was why we chose this place. I have heard great things. But PLEASE for future customers, let it be transparent what is in...

My husband and I used to love this place...The food was always delicious, fair price, and good service...until a couple of weeks ago. We would get breakfast from there 2-3 times a week. Several weeks ago, my husband went through the drive-thru. The person couldn't get the order right even though he repeated it several times. When he got to the window, she gave him a crazy amount for what he owed. He told her " I get the same thing several times a week..it should be $$" She told him that wasn't what he ordered and started to argue with him. He came home fuming and vowed never to go back. I knew this was totally different from the service we had been getting, so I sent an email to Terry, the owner. More than anything, so he would know what happened and how his employee had mishandled the situation. I didn't want her to lose customers for him. I like Terry and I like the business. No response. Not even a "thanks for letting me know" or "I'm sorry. Please give us another chance". He decided to give them another chance this morning. He tried to order 1 item and the drive-thru person still couldn't get it right. He has vowed NEVER to go back. I really didn't want to do a public review without giving Terry a chance, but if that is what it takes to get his...
