If you’re looking for a gift or home decor this is your place. Not only are you shopping local but you’re also helping a small business get established. I myself am a smaller business owner and shop at any local owned store before I will shop a chain store. Make a small business owner do the HAPPY DANCE and shop them first!!
Now the Truth that Painted Tree doesn’t want you to know and what myself and so many that join the store have found out the hard way. (I was in the Snellville, Ga February 2022-July 2022). Here is my 3 tips for new vendors: 1. Do NOT join a store prior to it opening! Their goal is to fill the store. PT make money off you as a renter and they will get their money before you make a dime. You may have a flooded market where 12 people sell Candles, T-shirts, or Tumblers. You would think oh I was selected I’m gonna be the only one. NOPE there could be many! Give it a couple months. Trust me there is always gonna be openings. 2. Visit the locations in your state. I visited the Buford, Ga location and NEVER did I see anyone else there but me. I went on Tuesdays @ 11:30 (NOBODY), 3:00 (1 person but later found out she was stocking for a vendor) and Saturday 3:00 (NOBODY) Nobody!! This should of been my sign. 3. Talk to other vendors. Get their feedback; ask questions. 12 months is a long time and it’s HELL getting out of your contract cause the communication is terrible! When opening nobody could give me a straight answer to when we could move in. So bad that my space was given to someone else when I showed up to move in. I had a signed contact and still someone else’s name on my space. (See photo)
I could really go on, and on about several peoples experience along with mine but I will keep it brief. If you have any questions you can find me on Facebook and message me.
Good Luck if you choose to Join, I hope you have better luck than I did. I will also post pictures of our space. We offered items from $3-$120. Very little things...
Read moreLeasing a Space? BEWARE - Started with Painted tree years ago in the Buford location. Had the opportunity to move to Snellville when the location opened. After acquiring another business, it was needed that I move out of my leased space upon my contract date was up and not renew, as I coule not keep up with two businesses. Emailing th store (as I was requested to by management) stating I would not be renewing my lease with Painted Tree and moving out and the by which date. Since , that staff nor the manager turned in my paperwork correcty, they charged my CC the following month, after moving out. I contact the store on several occasions and I was finally turned over to corporate where I spoke with a women who stated a refund would go back to my card and even sent me an email as proof. Well, that never happend. I spoke with my CC company and they reversed the charges in a dispute wiht Painted Tree. Now, since the dispute was over 60 days (of me going back and fourth with corporate) my CC is charging me back. Just terrible. I fulfilled my lease professionally without breaking (like I see some other posts of people doing) and this is the pay back I get. Just terrible that a company thinks this is ok to do this to people. Just disgusting in my opinion. I have sent several emails to corporate with no return reply. I have left several messages for corporate with NO no reutrn call AND I have gone up and spoken to management which I was told, nothing she could do, I would have to tallk to corporate. So, you see the pattern here... Run you around so your money they wrongfully charged you for as they know the CC game. Super unprofesionalsional and I say STAY AWAY! Sad...
Read moreWe had a years lease at this location and decided not to continue after the lease was up. The employees at this location told us our required out date in which we complied but the management charged us an additional months rent to a charge card on file stating we did not follow procedure to leave. If their employees cannot or do not provide accurate information to outgoing renters how can that be reasonable on their behalf to charge because of it. I have rented for many, many years and you always have a lease. This lease is A. completed and removed or B. renegotiated to stay. The management never approached us for A or B. The management of this company has poor performance in the business behind the scenes. I do not recommend them as a space for your...
