We took our mom to Texas Roadhouse this past Sunday as a surprise celebration for her upcoming trip to Texas. We thought it’d be a fun and thoughtful way to start the trip but this dinner ended up being frustrating and disappointing. All of us ordered NY strip steaks, and my mom ordered a combo with ribs, shrimp, and steak. She pointed at the ribeye in the menu picture, but we told the waiter (Jordan) to correct it to the NY Strip Steak. We waited over an hour for our food. When it finally came out, my mom’s combo had a ribeye, not a NY strip. We called Jordan over to let her know, and the plate was sent back —twice — and it still came back wrong. When we brought it up again, Jordan said in a dismissive tone “Y’all, come on it is a NY strip It’s just the bottom” and we explained that we didn’t want the bottom piece we wanted the rectangular As if we didn’t know the difference and as if we were being a bother for simply asking for the correct cut. We asked to speak to a manager. He came to the table, and we explained (again) that it was not the NY strip we ordered. His response? “It’s the same piece, just the bottom .” We told him we understand how steak cuts work but we asked for the rectangular NY strip like everyone else got. And that’s the thing everyone else at the table got that same rectangular NY strip except for our mom. Then the manager asked how many times the plate had been sent back. We said twice, and he said “Well, I’m not dropping a third one. At this point, we’re just wasting steaks.” Then he added sarcastically “Go to the front and pick out the piece you want.” He then say he would see what he can do to discount it he never came back to the table to let us know anything, we eventually looked on the pay tablet on the table and saw that it was removed completely the fact still remains we did not want the bottom part of the Ny Strip we wanted the top piece regardless if it was free or not. As a manager, that kind of attitude is unacceptable. We weren’t rude just trying to get what we clearly ordered and waited over an hour for. His response made us feel dismissed and disrespected. The lack of care for customer service ruined what was supposed to be a special night for our mom. Texas Roadhouse, do better.

We decided to dine out on New Year’s Eve and chose this location, as it had been a while since our last visit. Using the website, we joined the waitlist ahead of time, which estimated a 35-45 minute wait. It took us about 20 minutes to drive there, and upon arrival, we were informed it would be another 20 minutes. Fortunately, we were seated in just 10 minutes, around 5:30 PM—a win for a busy holiday evening. Our server was attentive and doing their best under what appeared to be a high-pressure environment. Like many establishments nowadays, it seemed they were understaffed, with everyone working at a relentless pace. I ordered a top-shelf margarita and was surprised when it appeared to be a standard, unremarkable version. When I inquired, the server explained they hadn’t had black salt in quite some time. When ordering anything “top shelf,” one expects it to align closely with what’s advertised. In this case, I couldn't tell if it was top-shelf or not, which was disappointing. We redeemed a coupon for a free appetizer and chose the potato skins, which I remembered fondly from previous visits. While flavorful, they were excessively greasy, as evident in the photos. On a brighter note, the loaded baked potatoes were excellent. However, the vegetables were lackluster, and the salmon was overcooked to the point of being dry. On the flip side, the steaks were perfectly prepared and delicious. I opted for mushrooms and onions instead of the standard sides with my steak, but both were underwhelming—again, the photos tell the story. The pre-dinner rolls met expectations: hot, fresh, and delicious, straight from the oven. It’s clear that many restaurants face challenges these days, and this evening was no exception. While there were some bright spots, there’s room for improvement with attention to detail and consistency. With a little more effort, this location could easily elevate its dining experience.

My friend and I traveled 25 minutes to this location. Upon entering, the atmosphere was uninviting and I wish we would've left then and there! There was a 30 minute wait. We thought the wait was well worth it being that we'd receive their incredible fresh bread with cinnamon butter shortly after being seated!!! We were first directed to seating at the front of the restaurant away from the dining area and directly beside the front doors. We asked to be moved and our host apologized and quickly sat us at one of many open tables. Just before being seated we were told that they had run out of bread!! After deliberating we decided to stay because we were very hungry. Our waitress asked if we wanted appetizers and we attempted to order tato skins and we were told that, they too were out! We then decided on Rattle snake bites. When they came out, they were cold to the touch and the waitress agreed once she took them back. At this point there was clearly a pattern and we asked what dinner items were 86'd/out of and we were told 8 oz salmon, porter house, burgers, and pulled pork. We then decided to leave and were not charged for the bites. I totally understand running out of items due to logistical or supply issues due to Covid or the lack of employees, but what I cannot excuse is the lack of communication and professionalism by management and staff. When we were entered the establishment there where 3 hosts at the host stand, none of which alerted us to half of the menu being unavailable. We came across a rude manager several times who had the opportunity to lighten our experience but chose not to. I can respect honesty and adequate customer service over rudeness and manipulation any day!

Wednesday, 3/13/24 about 5 - PM I took my beautiful girlfriend to this Texas Roadhouse for dinner and drinks. We had Margarita's which were great. Shrimp appetizers which we're great.! Our dinner came out quickly and looked great!. Our waiter. Joe was very polite and professional. All was well, my lady and were smiling, laughing and having a fantastic time. I'd like to say. I'm 63 and the lady i was with is 55. We are very close but hadn't seen each other for a while so dinner was just dinner. Our time together was what was important to us and we we're just having a fantastic time! No problems!

Then....A woman approached us, I had noticed that she came from behind the bar and walked past several other tables and came directly to our table. She said she was the manager and wanted to know how our dinner was? I didn't ask for a manager and hadn't complained about anything! However, my 28.00 - 20 oz Ribeye was EXTREAMLY tough. Honestly, we we're having so much fun, talking, smiling and laughing that I didn't really care. I just didn't want anything to ruin the wonderful evening we we're having! Since the manager { Francesca ] decided she needed to go out of her way to come over specifically to our table, walked right by several other tables, I told her politely that the Margarita's we're awesome, the shrimp appetizer's we're delicious, our waiter was great and everything was good except my steak which looked good and tasted good was very tough and I even cut a piece in front of her to show her how much I had to saw on it with the Steak knife. Well, her smile went away but she said she would " discount our meal " for us and I said that would be fine and reminded her that i hadn't complained but since she asked... lol. After this unwanted interruption we went back to enjoying our time together, talking etc. and just enjoying each others company. About the time we are starting to recover from the interruption and have a good time again... here comes Francesca again! She just slid right down in the seat across from us in our booth like she's family or something?? Lol! Well, not really Lol. !! This manager { Francesca ] has rudely interrupted us again and sat down with us to proudly present us with a 15.00 coupon towards our next visit so we can come back and get another really tough steak! Lol! No discount as promised which I didn't care about anyway! Just wanting to enjoy my date and her company! Now, I'm loosing my patience, told her I don't want a coupon and that I felt that was insulting and at this point I just slid my steak across the table to her and told her she could have her steak back too! Asked her to leave our table and told her to have a good day. A few minutes later I caught our waiter who had disappeared and had him bring the check. The check he brought was for only 39.00 ! I looked and my meal had been comped. I paid the check in cash plus a 18.00 tip for Joe. thanked him for his good service and for comping the meal but told him that we would have rather not been rudely interrupted by his manager, Francesca and reminded him that i had not complained or asked to see the manager and that Her interruptions had disrupted and ruined our wonderful evening. We left and as I'm opening the car door for my lady here comes Joe running out saying that he gave me the wrong check and that i needed to give him some more money!! Well, I wasn't going to stand there and argue with him in the parking lot in front of my date who had been interrupted and embarrassed enough by these people already so I flipped him another 20.00 bucks, the only thing I had in cash other than hundreds which then left him a 8.00 tip which at this point, any tip was too much! I don't think any manager could be more rude or unprofessional than Francesca. To close I'd like to say to the owners of Texas Roadhouse and all restaurants. Please explain to all managers that we are not there for them! Many people don't want to be interrupted! I do not recommend anyone eat here if you want a good dining experience and or...

Usually this location is top notch but Saturday January 6, 2024 was the worst experience I have ever had there. To begin, they were completely out of their sweet cinnamon and honey butter that I thought they made in house. We had to ask three times to just get regular butter. Our waitress was apparently very new to our country because she barely spoke or understood any English. She was also visibly sick and wearing a medical mask but not the N95 required by the CDC. She coughed and sneezed in the direction of my table and family multiple times throughout out our visit, resulting in my entire family waking up this morning with fevers, coughing and congested when none of us were feeling under the weather before we went into the restaurant last night. We arrived at the restaurant and were seated around 9:00 pm, our main courses didn’t hit the table until 10:43 pm, and we were the last customers in the restaurant by then. Usually the food is excellent and on point but not this time, myself and my son order our steaks medium rare but this time both of our steaks were basically raw but since it was so late and every time we asked our waitress for something she took 20 minutes to get it or just forgot, so sending the steaks back wasn’t an option. My children’s side items were terrible, watery macaroni (there was no cheese, just white water), still frozen fries and the ones that weren’t frozen were stale and gross. My son didn’t eat anything he ordered and my daughter ate two bites of her steak because while we ordered it medium, it’s was beyond well done, almost burnt. My wife’s chicken was ice cold and both her baked potato and my baked potato were not done and still hard inside. We got two baskets of rolls because they ran out of those as well. To top it off, I paid for my meal with my debit card and even though the service was more than terrible, I left a cash tip. This morning I woke up and looked at my banking app and apparently the waitress decided to tip herself an extra $10 on my debit card even though I wrote out the amounts on the receipt and signed it. So not only was this one of the worst eating out experiences I have ever had, the waitress got my entire family sick and stole $10 from me. Good luck trying to call and talk to someone though, they just put you on a continuous loop message. Terrible, terrible experience at usually a great place to dine. 0 stars would be my actual grade but it...

his mindset of “they're not going to tip, so I'll give them bad service” has to stop.

From the moment we sat down, we were met with confusion and irritation. Our waiter—Akeem, I believe—brought over seven drinks we didn’t order. We all looked at each other confused and told him these weren’t ours. Instead of just checking, he looked at us like we were lying. Then it clicked for him: “Oh, this is for the other table. I was just thinking about coming over here.” (Dreading it)

He leaves and comes back, but we had already been waiting so long that we were ready to order everything—drinks, appetizers, meals—As we’re ordering, going down the line he’s sighing, rolling his eyes, and clearly irritated. One of my sisters asked for her steak well done, and instead of just writing it down, he says (with attitude), “You want that? It’s gonna be hard and dry, you sure?” She responded, “Yes, that’s how I want it.” Mind you we were all adults

Another one of my sisters, who has a disability, was trying to order, but I stepped in and did it for her because you could see how overwhelmed and rude he was. It was clear he had no intention of giving us good service—and we did absolutely nothing but sit down and try to enjoy our meal.

We all asked for our steaks well done. You think they came out that way? Nope. Everything was closer to medium at best. I wish we had taken pictures, but the visual was obvious—nothing was well done

To top it all off, once the food came, the waiter never came back to check on us. Not once. It took another server to go find a manager for us. And instead of the manager showing up, the original rude waiter comes back yelling at us, asking why we needed a manager and claiming he “checked on us all night,” which was just a flat-out lie. We really just wanted our food corrected.

Then the manager finally comes over—only to tell us we need to leave. No questions asked, no listening, just immediate dismissal. That was extremely disappointing. You never know what people are there for—celebrating, mourning, just needing a moment together. And while I respect a manager wanting to support their staff, that doesn’t mean turning a blind eye to bad service.

We were one ticket. We were going to tip. Of course, not after the way we were treated—but we came in with every intention of having a good time and being good customers. The service we got was...
