Golden Apple Buffet — Restaurant in Snellville

This place is awesome! Kinda overwhelming when you first walk in. I would suggest after you get seated to walk around ALL the food stations before selecting ! Why because your eyes will be waaayy bigger then your tummy! This place just opened within the last 2/3 months so it definitely has the new, Super clean, bright, look. My wish is that 1 or 2 or 5 years from now it is still the same! So many options to choose from for the price of $13.99 (didn't get the $1 senior discount bc I didn't ask I guess?) for lunch, which is until 3:00 pm. Dinner is $18.99 and weekends all day $19.99. It had it all or at least all we were looking for and much more. I wanted pho it has a pho bar, if your pho isn't good then blame yourself! You pick out what YOU want from the extremely fresh selections give to the person to drop into a basket that cooks it, then he takes it over to get the broth and I think there's 2 vegan and non vegan which was streaming hot and flavorful, then YOU add your fixings and sauces. My shrimp pho was slamming. I also went to the sushi bar and chose 7 pieces the spicy crab and shrimp tempura being my favs. My friend tried neither of those and we didn't try the hibachi station even though again if yours sucks it's on you lol. He tried all the Chinese beef selections with fried rice on his first plate along with about 7 peel n eat shrimp that he said were delicious but he wouldn't get them again bc of the work involved and he wanted to get to eating . He peeled and ate all of them first then in to the Mongolian beef, beef n broccoli, beef on a stick, and another beef dish which he loved them all! His 2nd plate was the Chinese chicken dishes and panko shrimp, all were great, he said. On his 3rd plate though I knew his favorites which were Mongolian beef, panko shrimp, and that other beef dish. He tried the coffee cake, cream puff, and a sugar cookie and to be honest he wasn't a fan of anything in the plate. His reason was nothing was as sweet as he wanted . I think it was bc he was too full! I tried the panko shrimp EXCELLENT, the salt n pepper shrimp and it was too much work to peel plus kinda over cooked IMHO. The baked scallops were absolutely DELICIOUS again IMHO not an actual scallop but like chopped up with other ingredients then piled on a shell and baked whatever so so good! So was the baked crab meat (yes it was imitation crab also it was lunch and 13.99!). Our server kept the dishes picked up and our water glasses filled. Next time definitely trying...

I whole heartedly do reccomend the pho. It’s Acutally really good (add shrimp and lime if you want a better taste)

, but that’s not my purpose for this. They ask you to write a review after you pay and stuff so here I am! Firstly they’re passively racist to mainly black people as if we were going to steal🤦🏽‍♂️ constantly checking and staring at us sending people to look at us, seeming really passive when talking to us and honestly wouldn’t let us enjoy our food. They “moved” chairs to the exit door as if we were gonna run out. But let’s talk about the food!!

Pho was good, I’ll get it agian

Most other foods were lukewarm or ligerally colder than Ixd cream It wasn’t as packed so it was good to get a chance to get hot food even tho they had just opened recently and already had cold food. The bathrooms were nasty but pretty nice, just need to practice cleanliness😟 They pressured us kinda to rose the card to go to the register but we ended up going ourselves, I find that a bit creepy?

In conclusion im never coming back, they most def lost thier minds here being racist as if it’s the 1960s hello?! How are y’all just opening and your being racist to people who are of color also. It’s honestly wierd, it’s 2024 it’s gonna get worse if you guys keep that up or done get rid of them cuz that’s wierd

We recently came a couple weeks ago and the experience still wasn’t as good. No discrimination this time so that’s good but we came during dinner time which was really packed, pho is still good which I’ll still reccomend, don’t get the crab legs tho. but the service was still bad as always and the waiter this time was very passive, not sure how to explain it to be honest. She didn’t want to seem bothered. If you have personal problems don’t bring that to your workplace. One extra star because they aren’t racist as far as we know! I still don’t reccomended you come tho, go to golden...

Again: bad attitude from female manager in the front. Mistreated customers. Food quality going down and long long wait on weekend. Not recommended at all. Manager spent long time on social media to make herself look good to mislead customers. Manager could spend the time with customer solve problem patiently not yelling at customer, ignore customer.

Terrible experience. The female host attitude is terrible. Yelled at customer and ignored customers request. At least 30 mins wait. Just a buffet. Not worth it， food quality going down See owners response below but i can't reply that msg for some reason. As previous restaurant owner myself for many many years. I completely understand how frustrated It could b during busy time. But the host/manager needs to treat guests nicely. not just by saying it nicely on the review or blaming on the waitress. Customers not stupid they know what's going on they know how u treat them. The host/manager squeezed our family in to the corner far back in another room, just to get in a big table behind us to make money. We were totally ignored by the manager and treated rudely.we requested to have another table, the managers attitude is terrible. They knew we were requesting it. Manager still Let people behind us get in first.yelled us loud in front of our kids. Thags totally not acceptable. And due to the poor management. Meanwhile there were Lots of empty table and huge line waiting at door. The waitress is good, not the waitress! Its the manager the host! Don't try to blame this on other ppl. The manager in front was rude and yelling at customers. Overall i don't recommend this restaurant not worth the wait at all. Food taste going...
