We purchased two leather reclining sofas from Sedlaks that were defective. The leather on the back of the sofa was not long enough to cover the inside of the sofa. There was a large gap on the sides of the sofa where the back meets the seat. We were asked if our room had a wall where we could push it up against to hide it. They allowed us to go to their warehouse to check out the 4 others they had. They were all defective as well. Maybe they purchase second quality products. When we complained our designer Susan told us maybe we should have bought a higher end sofa. We paid $2800 per sofa. After much complaining they finally agreed to give us a refund but kept $400 for delivery fees and a design consultation. The $150 design consultation was to be applied towards a purchase they said. The design consultant Susan was absolutely worthless. She had to be harassed by us for weeks to come up with a design which consisted of the sofas we already chose ourselves and 2 fabric choices for chairs we chose ourselves. This high end furniture was a huge disappointment. We received much better service from Leopold’s and...
Read moreVisited the showroom today with my husband and baby who was sleeping in a stroller. We were greeted at the front door. Once inside one of the rooms I was rudely chased out by a saleswoman because "no strollers allowed" because "the rooms are too crowded". There was someone in a wheelchair able to move around the room, so accessibility wasn't an issue. Why we were not told this upon entry I am unsure. Noticing my frustration and rush to exit the store, a salesman said it was ok to leave the stroller in the hallway and enter the rooms without it. Sorry, baby is sleeping, and I won't be leaving the baby in the hallway alone, or waking baby up for this policy. On the way out of the store was a lady walking around upholstered furniture with a dog. My husband is very allergic and that they would allow dogs near their furniture but not sleeping...
Read moree bought two Lazar sofas from Sedlak . One of them (flirt sofa) is in great condition, the other curved sofa had a different fabric & start peeling like skin after a year. It began as one small area & we ignore, to the point that last year it was everywhere. We barely use this sofa. We have no pet or small kid. I contacted Sedlak last year but they told us there’s no warranty for fabric. Who is responsible for this. Our other sofa looks brand new with different fabric. The curve one has a patterned faux leather fabric & the pattern cause peeling. For spending 6k You would figure somebody will stand...
