I've been to this particular location twice prior. Both times the people I've worked with had been great. This last time on 10/7/21 I was coming in after work from out of state (Indiana) to pick up a tux for a friends wedding. I'd been sized a few months prior here. I paid the rental balance online days prior hoping to pick up the suit close to but prior to store closing hours. I called and informed an employee while I was driving through Ohio that I was running close to 9pm and wondered if this would still be doable that night. He stated that as long as I was there by 9 o'clock for them to "ring me out" I could pick up the order. I arrived at 8:57pm to find the the guy I spoke with sitting in the middle of the store, facing the door, on his phone, the lights on, and the door locked. He visibly payed me notice before walking out of sight and shutting the lights off. I called the store and he would not answer. I don't know if the thought process was that I wouldn't actually show after our discussion? Which was incorrect... I was then in the parking lot speaking to the groom on the phone very noticably agitated when he and another female employee exited the store at 9:03pm. I will preface by saying I rarely leave bad reviews. I appreciate customer service roles of any capacity. I have worked customer service myself. It can be a tough, thankless job. However in this situation I completely lost my temper on both employees. I was told that the registers are closed out at 8:55pm. I was then told the doors lock 10 minutes to the hour at 8:50pm. My query was as to why store hours state 9 o'clock at all. Irregardless I said I can understand that policy. Realistically I'm sure very little business is done so close to closing. What I do not understand is why an employee would come to an understanding with a customer over the phone to have a rental pickup by 9pm only to close early. Or at the very least not have the customer soft skills to state that to the individual upon arrival in person, rather than cold shouldering and shutting the lights off on them. To sum up a long winded rant, that's not a way to...
Read moreThe purpose of Menâs Wearhouse, and using them for a an event is ease of use. Coming in getting fitted being told when itâs done coming in to make sure it fits and going home. I had to come in on four different occasions because on the original tux not one thing fit. The closest Menâs Wearhouse is an hour away from me, so not only did I have to drive for the first and the pick up but I had to go on two different occasions to pick up my tux and make sure it actually fit that time. Not only did I have to do this, but so did our entire bridal party. One of the members actually went to a local store to get the pants hemmed because he was so sick and tired of dealing with Menâs Wearhouse of Charleston West Virginia. They never once offered to make anything right and made it feel that due to our build, it made it hard to fit us. When returning my tux, I drove it two hours away to Columbus Ohio just so I did not have to deal with them anymore because you guys do not offer an option to ship back personally. This will be my last time utilizing Menâs Wearhouse my other experiences being similar. A wedding is supposed to be a very special day for somebody and you all, as a company provide a service that should make things a lot easier but instead made things much more difficult. Not once where we offered the opportunity for a discount or a refund or anything along those lines due to mistakes made.
My hope is that folks utilize local businesses instead...
Read moreOrdered tuxes for our daughterâs wedding. Nothing on my husbandâs tux fits right. Pants are too short, jacket too tight, and arms of shirt too short. We also ordered him a different style of shoe because the standard were too narrow. We received the shoes that are too narrow. All we got was, âIâm sorry. It must have been busy or I just forgot.â Wedding is in two days and we drove 2 hours to the store. Not happy at all!
I saw no way to add a new review so I thought I would edit this one. I donât like leaving negative reviews but it seems like Menâs Wearhouse has warranted it. My future son-in-law came in today to pick up his tux, and the pants were too short, and the jacket is way too tight. He and my daughter were dismissed by two of your young male employees. They finally agreed to let out the hymn on the pants by an inch, but told them there was nothing they could do about the jacket. They cannot order a new one and get it here in time. They told my future son-in-law that he could just take the jacket off. That is a bunch of bull! We pay too much to rent a suit there to not get what we ordered. And Iâm sure if he splits the suit jacket while dancing or moving at all he will be required to pay for it. I will never ever do business with Menâs Wearhouse in Charleston again. They drop the ball with my first daughterâs wedding And theyâre doing it again. I donât know how they stay in business. I am so disappointed in the whole...
