Target — Local services in South Charleston

Today Sunday June 16, 2024 I had a very good visit. My reason for visit was to return a phone I had bought online. ( it wasnt scanned before shipment & carrier said it was activated & added service plan. It WAS NOT unlocked because ONLY VERIZON not totalbyverizon could unlock it. ). My money was refunded & I was sent back to purchase new phone. I found the one I ordered but asked cashier to add plan from returned phone. That is when she informed me it could NOT be unlocked through any carrier but Verizon!! I had no idea ( the front of the box had Total by Verizon in big letters.) Thank you to the young lady at the Tech cell phone department for stopping me from buying another phone I couldn't use with my service plan & telling me to carefully research phones from other stores to assure I got one that worked with my carrier! I didn't catch her name but she wa small, doing dark haired & slender. It was at 3:00 in the afternoon. Store was remodeled but lacked in many areas for items being missing or not carried compared to my local store where I live. Was disappointed in the layout of the Starbucks, but happy it was added in an area where items provided by Starbucks lacks. Parking was good, but once you walk in the store you are basically ran over by the overload of carts and tiny walkway. The Target Cafe is too large and takes up too much room which keeps the walk in area cluttered and shabby. The cafe brings a reminder look of the Kmart Cafe that are located in larger Kmart stores so it looks very dated even after remodel. Store is laid out with a fresh section that looks to be a waste of space. Many items in the fresh were expired or close to expired. Many employees were seen standing around the checkout but didn't seem to be their area for work but were there from the time I entered to the time I left which was about 30 mins or so of time. I'll return to this location as its the only one in Charleston, but if i get the choice of it or Huntington's store I'll...

Buyer beware if you get an electronic device from target: KEEP THE ORIGINAL packaging. I bought another fitbit charge for the one I had stopped working, rightfully so , after three years of use. I bought a charge 4 from this location. The tracker worked but sleep analysis wasn’t giving me the best readings. I called to see if I could return the Fitbit for I was within the return window. I told them I didn’t have the box it came in, Courtney at guest services said it was fine as long as I had the original receipt. I came in and they searched and said they couldn’t accept my return because they couldn’t find a serial number on my fitbit, that it would be on the original packaging which i was informed I didn’t need before wasting my time on a trip to return it. Target shouldn’t sell items if their warranty cannot stand by the products they sell. Nowhere on the receipt does it say to keep the original packaging. I wasn’t given any other options for help except if i needed a bag to put my fitbit in. Extremely rude, thanks Target...
