I’ve been a customer since 2005; Mike and company have worked on cars for me as well as a few home AV installations. The work was always done to a high standard and alterations to walls/woodwork were unnoticeable once complete. It’s worth noting that, in addition to possessing a deep knowledge of acoustics and sound design, Mike is a skilled wood worker. I actually commissioned some hardwood shelving for my home, which came out beautifully and matched the surrounding woodwork exactly. Prices are competitive, labor is reasonable — especially when you factor in the range of things they can do. Pine Tree Mobile Sounds guarantees the labor on installations; if a problem arises, they will diagnose and often fix it at no charge. I still have the original vehicle with the sound system they built 14 years ago — only one part ever had an issue — the head unit display died after 2 years, under warranty. The unit was out of production and the product range had changed somewhat. Mike and his staff went above and beyond; the replacement was actually slightly better than the original. I would not recommend this business. I had a radio I needed partially installed. Meaning I had already run all the wiring required and because my SUV had some funky wiring from the prior owner(s) plus Onstar ans steering wheel controls, I decided to have all the connections done professionally. I had already bought the radio which came with the mounting kit and the 2 required harnesses to do the job. I advised Mike of this and he quoted me $90-$140 to do the job and about hour and a half..I thought it sounded fair and agreed and made an appointment. Well 5 hours later, the only thing that got done was blow out my reverse lights, only wired the speakers, did not install the steering wheel controls and added an installation kit without my approval and charged me the full $140. So I asked if I could come back for them to finish the job and install the steering wheel controls we had original agreed to...the answer, no. "We are only charging you for two hours so that will be extra." Walked out of there $175 later and still don't have a fully functional radio. BIGGEST SCAM EVER!! Just moved to Maine, my brother was very excited and anxious to get subs in his car. Went her to get a quote for a single 12 a box and amp. Was quoted a little under 800 for everything. Comes time to pick up my brothers car I get there and mike greets me with a smile and tells me my total was OVER 1000!!! Only reason I didn’t say take it out is because I didn’t want my brother disappointed.

I then go to get a price for 2 12’s already in the box I have the amp and wiring (etc..) I just need it put in my car. Quoted me 427. I was not getting scammed again so we agree at 275 which was still a bit high in my book. We set a day and time. I get a call and mike says his technician got in a car crash. I felt bad so I said don’t worry about it I’m patient. We pick a new day and time. This day comes and he calls me yet again and says his technicians mom had a stroke. Again I’m patient so he said “i don’t know when I can get it in, I feel really bad so your at the top of my list” I said sounds great. 4 weeks go by no call.
