The most disappointing TJmaxx service I ever experienced at south Portland. I went to the fitting rooms to fit clothes and the lady who counted the clothes gave me a tag that indicates 10. Meaning 10 clothes. But I had 12 so she said leave the 2 and come back and grab it whenever you’re done with the other clothes. So I went back to grab the other 2 and the other older lady associate just screamed at me telling me to “come back here” she screamed like I was gonna steal it oh my gosh I didn’t even have a bag or anything with me! So I waited after she screamed at me she counted the clothes and asked me which ones I’m taking I said these. Then I said okay I’ll put it in my basket and she said no, you can just put it here on this basket. (The basket that was in front of her) and I was like no I have my basket here which is like 2 feet away from us and with my husband right in front of us. The older lady keep insisting AGAIN to put the clothes I picked in the basket that’s right in front of her. I said, I have my basket right here, here with my husband and he’s right here. Didn’t even say sorry. So embarrassing that she acted like I’m going to steal those clothes. I felt being racially profiled by her. Then as I passed by another older lady associate was talking on her radio while looking at me saying “yes she’s here I can see her, she’s got the clothes” like oh my god. I’m really out of words. Very disappointing and sad about what those older women did. I’ve never had this kind of experience before in any TJ maxx stores or any stores at all!! which I won’t ever dare to come back to be treated very poorly and morally low. Worked in a customer service industry for years and never treated anyone like that no matter the...
Read moreGot berated by a worker in the fitting room for helping my boyfriend pick out some clothes because she said I’m not a guy. Which is very upsetting because I’m non-binary and if I was standing in the women changing room they would have no problem. I understand they have rules to follow but the way she said it was VERY rude. They have pride flags on their merchandise yet they allow this to happen from their employees. My boyfriend later brought up the point of if a married straight couple wanted to look at clothes together and help each other out would they have to shout across the two separate rooms? It’s ridiculous that this is still something that we have to deal with especially from companies that benefit from the...
Read moreI am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding a recent purchase I made at one of your stores.
I bought a Revlon hair dryer brush, expecting it to be a brand-new and unused item. However, upon opening the package, I was absolutely shocked to find that the brush was covered in hair, debris, and what appeared to be dandruff. This is completely unacceptable and extremely unhygienic.
As a loyal and regular customer of T.J. Maxx, I am honestly disgusted and disappointed by this experience. It is beyond concerning that a product in such a condition was allowed to be sold as new. This raises serious questions about the quality control and inspection process for your...
