Great store!!! Very clean. Awesome and really nice and helpful associates!!! The store is often very low on product availability in the perishable food & refrigerated beverages section, but the rest of the store is super clean and well stocked!!! I always really enjoy shopping at this Target store. Everyone is super nice, and the store is very clean and bright, and the music is nice and varied.

Target is a great store to shop at. They also have certain foods & vegan foods that no other store carries, which is so so so convenient, because it consistently beats Amazon's prices by 3 times over (Amazon charges an arm and a leg for foods and drinks due to the cost of shipping heavy items).

Target is my go-to store for many items, including household!!! They also have a ton of great promotions going on all the time, although they can be very confusing sometimes when they don't work when they should have. The front desk is normally very helpful in fixing things that didn't apply, or if you buy something during a week with no active Target Circle bonus, and then you get a Target Circle bonus literally 1-6 days later.

The app can be confusing, and it says things are in stock in like Quantity 10, but you get to the store and there is 1-2 and often zero of them. But I feel like that's a problem faced by a ton of stores, including Walmart (inaccurate inventory listed on website and app).

Highly recommend this Target, and just Target in general! I never realized how many good food deals there are here on items I buy semi-often in large, bulk quantities. Just make sure you clip coupons often and pay attention. I've messed up a lot of my deals this way, or bought food and forgot to clip the coupon offer or deal. You can miss out on so many savings, it's a major bummer. Just go talk to the front, and they will always do their best to help you, in my experience, if you bring your original receipt and items with you and it was a...

Visited on Sunday around noon, store was fairly busy, Entirely too many staff with large racks blocking isles from shoppers trying to get needed items. After the tough navigation through the store, there is a check out line wrapped passed the beauty/health section (making section unshoppable) to the grocery section. At this point I decide it is not worth purchasing the over $120 worth of items in my cart. I talk to an associate with a rack blocking an isle who offered to take my items and put them away. As I walk out past the long line, without purchasing anything, I find only 4 checkout lanes are open - including self check out- potential 26 lanes. There is a staff employee, who didn't mind the cart to cart line of people lined up into the grocery section but insisted on not letting people line up in check out line, instead she felt the need to only let one person in line at check at a time and thought that was better to have it block all the shoppers in the store at that end of the store. The Management needs to rethink their "COVID" restrictions- not sure how its not ok to have more than one person at check out but cause bumper to bumper lines throughout the store. Not sure why staff can block shoppers from items in isles but not help at check out. Not sure why Target thinks it ok to make spending my money at their store entirely too difficult. I will shop in the many other stores who actually want to make it easy to spend my...

I moved to Portland from central NY about 2 months ago. Since this is a long, mostly negative review, I'll start out with the positive: the people! The only reason I gave a second star to my review is because every time I have a question or can't find something, there's always a friendly employee to help me. They really go out of their way to be as helpful as possible, and I truly appreciate them in a store this poorly organized/stocked/managed.

I thought the experience I had on my first visit was just a fluke but it's consistent. Every time I go there (every couple weeks) it looks like there was a back-to-school run on the store (one other reviewer said it looked like a tornado--accurate!). They're seemingly out of everything I've come there for, none of the items are in the right places, many prices aren't even listed on the shelves. It is so incredibly frustrating to shop here, and it's so unlike every other experience I've had at any other Target store. I keep going back because 1) I'm so familiar with the layout of these stores that it eases the shopping trip and 2) I've deluded myself into thinking that maybe it'll be different next time. But...

Strolled into Target at 9pm—an hour before closing—only to be met with the ultimate betrayal: the self-checkout lanes were already shut down, as if the droids had fled the battlefield. One lonely register open, and the line? A wretched hive of waiting and frustration stretching into the main aisle. But wait—this isn’t even the worst of it. Even when their precious self-checkout is open, they restrict you to a mere 10 items. Ten. As if I'm some peasant wandering in for a single ration pack. I don’t know who decided this—perhaps an intern dabbling in the Dark Arts of customer deterrence—but clearly, they’ve never faced the wrath of a Sith with a full shopping list. So I did what any dark-side master would do: turned on my heel and defected to their competitor only a few minutes away (shorter than standing in that line). No item limits. No lines. No amateur hour. Target, your grip on the galaxy weakens. You’ve forsaken speed, power, and efficiency. This is how retail dies… with poor decisions and constantly understaffed checkout lanes. 💀 Tip: Efficiency is the path to the dark side… and Target has clearly chosen another.

honestly hate to sound like one of those crazy review ladies, but it’s christmas and i’m pregnant. i went to the store the other day hoping to find some christmas pjs me and my s/o can wear for christmas for our tradition we do in my family. there wasn’t a good selection whatsoever but we already had gone to 4 different stores at the time. so i settled on a simple shirt and regular pjs pants. they were sized XXL because once again, i’m pregnant and i like to be comfortable and there wasn’t much of a selection in maternity department. i went to try them on today. i normally take the tags off so i did, but they seemed a bit small so i looked at the size on the pants tag instead of the hanger and it said XS… ontop of that im a stay at home mom so it’s hard for us to shop in general. I will quite literally turn into the grinch if i’m not able to exchange or return this. i’m very disappointed considering i already feel left out of my family christmas traditions due to the restrictions i have with pregnancy. thanks target.

In a nutshell, the cashier ripped me off by swiping Target gift cards through as she scanned my shopping. When I went back the same day to complain, the cashier was gone, and the supervisor couldn't reimburse me for the stolen money. So, a few days later, another supervisor called and asked me to come to the store . She reimbursed my money and gave me a gift card that contained $10 !! Wow, it didn't even cover my fuel for the 2 trips to the store. Long story, she wouldn't tell me if the person still worked at the store, and when I said I was getting the police involved, she basically said that was up to me. So watch out folks and always check your receipt at Target in South Portland. Terrible customer service 😑 😒 🙄 and a thief worked or may still work there 🤔
