I do a large amount of business with hTV specialist. I visit weekly. I am a local video producer, I rent and buy all my pro camera equipment here. I can say they they know how to win a customer. Since Day 1 I have been treated with respect and I felt valued as a customer. I started off my career as a corporate freelance videographer and I would always talk to Geoff and Collin bugging them with questions. I sometimes felt like I took too much of their time, I was hungry to learn as much as I could. They where always happy to teach me. As my career has progressed I can say that TV specialist is a big part of why I am successful.
My video equipment RENTAL Experience. One occasion I rented a DJI OSMO with a X5 camera to take on a horse pack trip. I know trips like this are extremely hard on camera equipment. I made sure to get the insurance. Long story short, I broke that expensive camera in half. The rest of that vacation I worried about the cost I would incur because of my mistake. After returning that camera my cost was minimal and I was very relieved. They truly took care of me. I have rented a lot of equipment with all my jobs and it was always ready on time and everything included. I would recommend them to any consumer or professional video production company.
My Video equipment SALES experience. I have purchased almost all my equipment thru TV specialist. Because they took the time to teach me at the beginning and throughout my career I owe them a great deal. Their prices are very fair. I recently ordered a large amount of equipment. We moved fast to complete that order by a deadline and some small items where not included on the invoice. Geoff made sure to get those to me quickly and treated me right. He truly understands the rule of reciprocity, and it has not gone unnoticed.

My TV Sales Experience. Recently I purchased 3 tv panels with several speakers. This was for a corporate training room. I worked with Dan Austin. Dan is a details man, he makes sure he knows what you want then puts it to paper and makes it happen. I was surprised I could just describe the overall goal and the details did not weigh him down. The installation was complicated but went flawlessly by their installer Nick. Because they know the Video Production side they have a unique perspective on the AV solution side. They've got pretty much all the gear you'd ever want, but poor customer service leaves me feeling either ignored or patronized. The employees are either unhelpful or trying to show off their knowledge in comparison to you. I've been in the industry for nearly a decade and know people like to flex their knowledge, but I'm just trying to make a purchase and get out.

Read moreI took my 60 inch Sony Bravia in there because Best Buy recommended them to me. I went in and explained what the problem was, the front desk lady for the service desk seemed nice but distracted. They ended up charging me almost $400 for a power supply and it took close to 2 weeks to get it in and fixed. I took it home and found out that they never even fixed the original problem of why I took it in. I called them and took it back the next day. They charged me an additional $500 for the actual problem and it took another 3 weeks for the part and fix. Had I known it would cost $900 I would have bought a new tv. I feel that I was swindled since they having known what the issue was simply ignored what I said was wrong with it, hence forcing me to pay a ridiculous amount and waist over a month of my time.
