Our Family has used Philip and Co for 3 generations and have loved their jewelry My Father, Mother, Brother and 2 Grandparents have purchased from here(Multiple times). Unfortunately our experience was AWFUL. We first bought my wife's ring an Oval ring with 12 diamonds on the band beautiful ring. Just the way she wanted it. However within a month of having the ring 2 of the diamonds had fallen out of the band. Under Warranty they took the ring and placed the diamonds back into the ring. (This took about 2 weeks) Within a couple days again the same thing happened another 2 weeks without her ring. Even with our wedding coming up we needed it repaired it was like pulling teeth to get this done before the wedding. We got the ring under 48 hours before the wedding. This continued to happen after our wedding at least 3-4 more times, until they decided to test the ring. Apparently the gold on the $3500 ring was FAKE non-authentic "Bad Gold". Philip and Co decided to replace the ring under warranty. Thinking that our warranty would cover issues we were happy with the resolution and we have no issues for about 12 months. About 2 years ago my wife miss-placed her ring. Devastated I contacted Philip and Co thinking our warranty would cover lost or stolen Jewelry as they had done with the ring before. I guess you have to provide proof that the sales person stated that it would be covered, which we of course don't have. Unfortunately, after 3 generations and multiple jewelry purchases. Due to issues with communication, long wait times, lack of clarity on purchasing order. I can no longer positively recommend this company to anyone. My hope for anyone reading this is to look at ANY other company before moving forward with...
Read moreI really wanted to be able to write a positive review for Philips and Co and unfortunately my experience has been awful. My fiancĂ© and I chose to get my engagement ring from them over 3 year ago. It took a months longer than they told us. When we finally got my ring it was not the design we asked for. We had to wait several months for them to fix it and barely got it in time for the wedding in August 2021. We also had an extremely hard time getting the ring and band appraised so that we could get in insured. We called several times and were told we would be texted or emailed the information right after he hung up the phone. This was the experience of both my husband and I and it took about 2.5 years just to get my ring appraised. Fast forward to recently, I lost my wedding band in a move. I reached out to them in February and in March submitted my insurance information to Eric via email. Over the last 2 months, I did not receive any response to my email even though I had sent 2 follow up emails asking if they had received the information. I have also been calling several times a week and no response to phone calls and no ability to leave a message. They finally answered my call today to say that it will still be months out to replace my ring and I should look into another jeweler. When I asked why he did not respond to any of my emails he said âsorry about thatâ. Over my 3+ year experience with Philip and Co it has been nothing but extremely poor communication. I would not recommend. Update: I finally got a response to my email with in an hour AFTER leaving the review. We already contacted another jeweler who has already started the process. I wish they would have communicated months ago so we werenât waiting...
Read moreMy fiance and I checked out this store first for jewelry and then looked at a couple of other stores as well but then decided to come back to this place for a variety of reasons.
First off, the customer experience. We were able to casually browse and try on different rings. Eric let us walk around, and left out the rings so that we could come back to them later. He didn't follow us around like a hawk and hand each individual ring to us and immediately take it back. He took out whole rows of rings and let us move around and go back and forth for more than half an hour. When I first went there, I had no idea that this was unusual. This buyer experience was one of the things that sold us on buying from him. We liked him and that he didn't feel like a used car salesman.
Second off, the price. Eric uses a lot of man-made stones, which is awesome. Lower price for higher quality? Enough said. Just take my money. He can easily natural stones if you want them, but why would you want them?
Another thing that I liked was how custom he made things. And for so CHEAP. For what I wanted, going other places would be easily twice as much money (especially when other places are so dead set on upselling warranties and the like). He and my fiance customized this ring to not snag, which was awesome. I hate snaggy rings. He also gave us great advice for what top look for and avoid.
In the end, I got a good quality ring that fits my personality and lifestyle, and most importantly our budget. Also, he was such a pleasant salesman/business owner to deal with. I completely recommend checking him out for whatever expensive jewelry you...
