23 years ago, I asked my wife to marry me on Maui. I had never worn a ring before, and I wanted to find something special. We stumbled upon a cute little shop on the Hana coast, and I found this very cool, distinctive ring. I considered it my warmup to condition my finger for my "true wedding band." But as fate would have it, I bonded with the warmup band because it is so distinctive. My wife and I became concerned that the band would break, and we would lose that distinctiveness forever.
While spending a few weeks in Utah, I decided it was time to look up a quality silversmith to restore it. I called Amy over the weekend right at 5 pm...closing time. I remember thinking that they probably won't pick up. And I'm so glad Amy did. She quickly suggested I take some photos and video and send it to her to see what she could do. She called me back right away. The next day I stopped by her shop, and she worked her magic while I got lunch.
Can you imagine my surprise when she showed it to me? As you can see from the before/after pictures, it looks brand new. Seeing her great work, I then asked her if she could duplicate it. And of course, she said, no problem and will have it done before I drive back to Montana in a few weeks. I cannot wait to surprise my wife. To top it off, I also found the perfect Mother's Day gift in some very cool earrings.
I'm confident you'll find Amy, her staff, and her lovely dog Jack just as friendly & helpful as I did. Cheers! – Bart Bruns, Missoula, MT.

Read moreI took a few sessions of the intermediate silversmithing class here and I would 10/10 recommend. Jan is an excellent and patient teacher. I came in with a less knowledge than some of the other students but Jan helped me to feel confident in building my skill set while creating pieces that I was excited about. It’s very much a go at your own pace, create what you want kind of class. I loved it! I would love to return for more when my...
